  1. The myota in my nautilus is louder than my Miata. Sent from my Guide using the Sub-Etha Net.
  2. Thanks for the tip Pete. I tried blue tack which has worked for me in the past, but no go. I'll try duct tape or just take it to the local horologist. Sent from my Guide using the Sub-Etha Net.
  3. It's been pretty good so far. Arrived in April. Bought a Bentley continental GT. spent 5 weeks touring Europe. Then 4 in Ireland. Currently in Milton Keynes. December is husky sledding in Lapland. Then Germany for 2 months. Then France for 2 months. No plans after March. Spain maybe. But yes. I've only brought 2 watches. Sea dweller and FM Crazy hours 8880. Sent from my Guide using the Sub-Etha Net.
  4. I'm not planning on doing too much work. I did bring my drivers and rodico just in case. I'm over here for 18 months on my honey moon, living out of a suitcase so I'm supposed to be packing light... It's not easy. Sent from my Guide using the Sub-Etha Net. Minute hand has become loose... 5. It does say eta on it. Having said that it "looks" like a gen eta to me. Rotor text is clean and tight and spaced from the edge. Rotor screw and bearing looks right It would be good to get a clearer picture of the era logo and 2836-2 text. Also would be good to see the hold and silver gears which are under the left of the rotor. You should also wait for a few more opinions to be sure! Sent from my Guide using the Sub-Etha Net.
  6. I'm away from home and need to open my sea dweller. Is there anyone in Milton Keynes who has a case back opener? Sent from my Guide using the Sub-Etha Net.
  7. Is there a Milton Keynes meet up at any time? Sent from my Guide using the Sub-Etha Net.
  8. Can you post your source please? I'm also looking for some! =) Thanks!
  9. Yeah. The crunchy sound is bad. Not very refined at all. I suspect it's the rotor bearings. Is it possible to change the rotor bearings? =\ Sent from my Guide using the Sub-Etha Net.
  10. I'm Maltese, but live in Australia. I'm visiting next year. =) Sent from my Guide using the Sub-Etha Net.
  11. Thanks for the ideas. It's sealed and pressure tested by Andrew, so I don't think that's the issue. I'll try an ultrasonic bath and post the results here. Sent from my Guide using the Sub-Etha Net.
  12. Nobody has any idea how I can shut this thing up? Sent from my Guide using the Sub-Etha Net.
  13. I received my shiny new PP Nautilus from Trustytime. It looks brilliant. Thanks Andrew! Will swap with more correct hands this weekend. I've never owned a Miyota before. Are they supposed to be this noisy? Is there anything I can do to make it quieter? I've oiled the rotor bearings. I unscrewed the case back 1/6th of a turn. It's not touching the glass anymore. Unrelated, but I also dunked the bracelet in oil to get rid of the extra link rattles. I'm almost prepared to limit the rotor with thick machine oil and manually wind... But not quite yet. Sent from my Guide using the Sub-Etha Net.
  14. Also, the escape wheel seems to be not touching any other part, is not central on its jewel and seems to be oddly shaped. It may not be obvious in the pictures. Sent from my Guide using the Sub-Etha Net.
  15. These are pics of a very close friend's watch. He told me it was gen. I'm inclined to think he believes it is gen, because I witnessed the emotional roller coaster of waiting for delivery and the happiness once it arrived. Also, he treats it very differently to his reps (other reps). Do do I tell him and break his heart or let it go. I doubt he will ever sell it. I'm not sure what he is going to be able to do about it now anyway... Sent from my Guide using the Sub-Etha Net.
  16. So that's what it SHOULD look like... Thanks StormTrooper! Sent from my Guide using the Sub-Etha Net.
  17. Maybe I should be polite and ask what type of movement this is. Sent from my Guide using the Sub-Etha Net.

  20. Narikaa, Are you still in contact with your Supplier??? I'm trying to track down an MB&F. Ideally this one: MBF001C, which Trusty can no longer get. http://www.trusty-watch.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=325&products_id=5602 Thanks! =)
  21. This seller on eBay does. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=140614664749 They ship from Switzerland and have a few styles. You can send the artwork or text to be printed. Sent from my Guide using the Sub-Etha Net.
  22. OK. I've done some more work on this. Hour Needs to be 1.5mm longer Mins need to be 2.0mm longer Secs need to clear the min hand The hands I'm making are 0.75mm thick each... I don't think I will be able to go much thinner. Also the dial is 0.75mm thick. So my question is; Do the parts listed previously go to that distance or will I need to find other parts or another solution? Thanks! =)
  23. Thank you both for your input. I'm not worried about a tear down. I'm looking forward to it! Thanks!
  24. Hi All, Is there any replacement hour/minute wheels, or other solution I can use for making the hands higher off the dial? It's for a watch I'm making. The dial is a little too thick. I'm looking to go 0.5-1.0mm higher if possible. Thanks. =)
  25. Hi all Hublot experts! Does anyone here know the model of this Hublot and of course if there a rep? Thanks!
