If anyone knows of anyone who has an extra bezel for a "ultimate" submariner and is willing to sell please contact me so we can work something out. If anyone can point me in the right directions as to where i can find such a thing that info too is greatly appreciated, im looking for the bezel itself and not the bezel insert. If anyone can help that would be great...

I love tequila i drink mine in shot glasses with salt and a wedge of lemon. Patron silver is by far the smoothest to me and then comes Don Julios always a classic.

So i searched for watchmakers near where i live that would work on my rep submariner and after a couple days of searching i found a guy nearby that said he would be willing to work on the watch. So initially i had took it in for a simple caseback tightening and a spring bar replacement. So after the caseback was tightened i guess the pressure of the Rolex caseback tightener damaged the bezel because it didn't want to rotate as easily as i was before i had taken the watch in. So i took it back and told the watchmaker what happened with the watch, he said since he had done the work on it he would fix it at no extra charge, so that made me happy. So today i go back to see if the watch was ready and the bezel is still the same, to make matter worst the bezel and bezel insert had a nasty scratch on it. I told the watchmaker what was the deal with that, the bezel had the same problem and a scratch on it?!?! I am very upset as I'm sure many of you would be too. He said he would take care of it for me he said he was going to get a new replacement bezel and insert for me. I hope he doesn't pull this BS tomorrow when i go in, and hopefully he fixes this nightmare he has caused. What was a simple caseback tightening has turned ugly. If he does mess up the watch even more, do i have a right as a consumer to make him at least pay for the watch so that i might buy a new one? Or should i just not worry about it and get a new one out of my own pocket?

So Called Perfect Submariner Water Resistance
teknotronik replied to teknotronik's topic in The Rolex Area
Its not that i want to go diving with it or what not, but my Sub is my daily watch and i wear it 24/7. I dont want to have to be taking it off ever time i shower or wash my hands, and if i do jump in a pool or the ocean for a quick swim i would like to keep my watch on. Its more for personal piece of mind then to try and impress someone by passing off the rep as a gen. -
So Called Perfect Submariner Water Resistance
teknotronik replied to teknotronik's topic in The Rolex Area
Do i have to get one of those expensive "Rolex waterproof caseback openers", or will any caseback opener do the job to get the caseback tight enough to make it water proof? As far as the silicone grease will any silicon grease get the job done? -
Does Pauls So Called Perfect Get Tested to 5 Bar
teknotronik replied to teknotronik's topic in The Rolex Area
Someone who does buy one of these watches could get them tested, i talked my self out of buying the more expensive $300 Perfect Sub and got instead Pauls version of the same watch for half that. I was just wondering if Pauls got the same service as Andrews watches. I guess i could take the watch to get pressure tested and what not but why do that when i can ask here first. You wouldnt know because you dont own the watch, thats why in my post i said "Does any one own a So Called Perfect Sub they bought from Paul" and knows about it might be able to answer the questions. I did save myself the money and if i choose to i could go and get it water proofed, but before i do so i want to know if anyone here who DOES know about the watch and its water resistance might be able to answer my question, thus saving me the trip to the "watchmaker". -
I bought a So Called Perfect Sub from Paul last week and im still scared of taking it near water. I know some reps are not properly equipt (i.e. caseback not tight, gaskets are not lubed, cristal not sealed properly, etc.) to be worn in the water. Does any one own a So Called Perfect Sub they bought from Paul or know how much water activity i can do with this watch? Im thinking of getting the caseback tightened and getting the gaskets fixed to make the watch water resistant, but if this was already done prior to shipping like on Andrews Subs then theres no point in spending the extra loot.

I just got my "so called prefect" submariner from Paul today and i was wondering how much water contact the watch can handle??? Is it okay for me to wash my hand with it on as long as the crown is screwed in tight or is that too much??? Also if i did want to make the watch water reststant or water proof what would i have to do to the watch??? If anyone can point me in the right direction... thanks in advance.

Thanks for the info, checked on the USPS website, much better detailed info offered there. Watch should be arriving today or tomorrow made it through custom with breeze its at my cities main airport, i doubt they ship directly from there so hopefully it arrives tomorrow at the latest.

Okay so i ordered a watch last Thursday/Friday from Paul, i checked on the EMS website and typed in the tracking number. It said the item had arrived in the US and was released from customs 03-12-2007. Does any one know how accurate these dates are and how long does it take from when an item is released from customs to when you recieve it at your door?

Just placed an order for a "so called perfect sub" from Paul... i want to know what would make this watch any better? Im thinking of getting a gen crown... besides this what else could i add to this watch to make it closer to a gen sub. I was looking at gen dials but $200 is a bit out of what i would want to spend on a rep watch. if anyone has any suggestions let me know, thanks.

Paying Paul(wo-mart) via Western Union...
teknotronik replied to teknotronik's topic in General Discussion
yeah tried to send online but my bank does not allow me to use my bank account to send manye via online due to internet fraud... so i just went into a local WU agen and sent the money. Im so excited for the watch now... now i have to be patient and wait for it. -
I am in the US trying to make a purchase from Paul, has anyone order from him and can let me know how to send the money via Western Union. Do i have to go to a store location and send the money from there, or can i send it via online from my credit/debit car? The second option would be much more convenient for me. If i am able to do it online which is the proper form to send it in, money order, as a transfer, or as a payment... if anyone can clear this up i would greatly appreciate that, thanks. -teknotronik :wounded1:

Are Paul's Subs water proof or resistant? An do you happen to know the diffrence between the W-1801 original style automatic movement foe $169 and the W-2042 automatic ETA for $149?
-
Thats good to hear. How are you liking the watch in terms of feel and accuracy?

Im thinking of ordering either a "Perfect" or "Ultimate" Submariner from either TrustyTime or PerfectClones but before i spend the $400 i need some help. I have heard of scary stories of custom confiscating or charging fees in order to get the watch into the US. Im really scared that the watch will never make it to me and i will be out $400. Im located in Houston, TX and want to know what is the process one goes through if customs does decide they want to charge fee, i.e. whats the tax/fee one must pay for a $400 watch? What have been the experiences you all have gone through? Whats the best way to make sure the watch gets to me? Any words to comfort my doubts are appreciated.

I know there are many across seas dealers on here with very good reputations. Due to the whole Chinese new year and people not able to send anything out the country i was wondering if any one knew of any trusted Submariner watch dealers that are locate din the states? I need a high quality Submariner, and a dealer with fast delivery. Thanks.

Im located in Houston, Texas. Thats what i assumed small independent watch shop are my best option for a ETA movement.

Does any one know who or what kind of jewlers would be willing to relube and maintenance a rep rolex? Im sure a authorized Rolex dealer wouldnt be the best place to take a rep rolex. So then what would be a good place or person to take the watch to for maintenance. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Im looking into puchasing a Submariner from trusty time and wanted to know for any of you that have bought these watches if the extra $150 you pay for the "Ultimate" is worth it in terms of the quality of the watch. I compared the specs to both these watches and they look about the same to me. Before i drop the $458 for the "Ultimate" i want to hear what you all have to say. If this has been discussed on here before, please feel free to point me in the right direction so i can read up on this issue. Thanks.
