  1. what watch don't know what you talking about,

  2. I broke the crappy rep buckle that came with my Sinn U1 so I had to try to find a replacement after almost purchasing a gen strap I decided to try a NATO. I was a little concerned because all the NATO straps look to be very flimsy and look generally poor quality. The first NATO I recieved from Ebay for $10 was just that. Too thin, Akward fit, and seemed to be more the color green than grey which is what I ordered. Then the second one I ordered which was $23 was perfect ($21 shipped for Americans). Perfect thickness, Strap holders and Buckles are incredibly high quality, and it is amazingly comfortable for a NATO. If anyone is looking for a NATO I highly recommend www.holbensfinewatchbands.com/
  3. When cutting the strap do not cut at the indents, If you do the strap will fold in the buckle. I made this mistake but luckily the strap was too big and I still needed to cut more. Try to cut in the middle of the next notch and then ram the rubber into the metal cup as hard as you can. If it doesn't fit cut a little bit more until it does.
  4. Thanks a lot, I hope he has no problem speaking English.
  5. I believe the original finish was removed that is why it was so cheap. There is no way one in decent shape would go for $40.
  6. Thanks for posting, I've been looking for one for awhile but how do I contact him? When I go to register it asks me to fill in an application in German.
  7. Tell me more about the watch. What condition? How good is the movement working? Any marks/scratches?

    Thanks

  8. I couldn't agree more. It looks like it was designed by Orange County Choppers. Lets glue something that looks like a break rotor on the bezel.
  9. As the title states is the watch a rep or a gen? I know the answer I just wanted to see If forum members could guess.
  10. Yes just ordered one of their superlume watches. They seem to have a great reputation but don't expect the quickest responses.
  11. +1 on the wouldn't buy an Invicta. I'm not quite sure why but I love these sterile dials. http://www.dajiwatch.com/Product_Show.asp?ArticleID=249 That looks awesome and is roughly half the price for the same watch offered from our dealers. I'm surprised there are as many "homages" available as there is but I just wish the higher dollar reps would follow. The design of watches today is usually so busy that removing a name would hardly be noticeable. Take this watch for example http://www.trustywatchguy.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=16_137&products_id=5773 Removing the Breitling and moving the chronometre certifie upwards would be unnoticeable to the majority of people.
  12. lol I knew someone was going to pick on that one. I was debating whether or not I should make that more clear. Do you honestly think the majority of people buying a fake Rolex do it for any other reason than the brand name? That comment was not pointed directly at this forum. I am talking about rep buyers as a whole we are a vast minority in the rep world.
  13. I would never wear a Rolex in a million years but the one in the last I can actually appreciate rather than just dismissing it right away. I just wish they would make some of the super reps unbranded. Like how awesome would it be to have a Hublot Big Bang and be able to make it in any case/dial/bezel/band you wanted and not have to worry about its accuracy. I would even maybe consider watches like the AP Roo Survivor where as now it is completely out of the question. Well maybe not really because of the price lol.
  14. Wow I didn't think I liked pvd panerais but that post might have changed my mind. The other bonus is I think a portion of the price you pay is for the name. I got a titanium pam homage with superlume for $130.
  15. Seems like it brings so much drama to the hobby to have a name on my watch that doesn't even matter to me. It still is illegal but at least it is not blatantly so.
