Hey Rob!
If you ever want to do your own tear down project and experiment on this sec@12 itiration, you could use my AP ROO Safari as a Guinea Pig! I would gladly volunteer my new "love" to
know what could be done about this "CANCER"!
Let me know!

Wanted to do the same thing when I'll buy one..

The prices are out of control and they do not need to be. The reason is GREED.. nothing else..
And any of you who say that this is not really the case... I'll put my money where my mouth is and prove it to all of you.
It is price fixing and greed.
Want proof??? Stay tuned...
Can't wait..

Exactly....this crap has happened before and it will happen again in the future. You will feel better about all this with time.
I am very interested in you becoming a drop shipper
I hope you consider this because we need some good people to bring us a factory connection at a reasonable cost.
I had a chance to be a US dealer some time back with a dealer from TRC and after talks with him I decided not to do it but to give you an example.
new improved 50th anniversary LV subs had just came out an they were selling for 250 for the swiss versions from the dealers at the time
The supplier informed me that he would send me 12 of the same swiss LV's to sale to people at a cost of 110.00 each.....that was my cost. I would imagine that his cost must have been 50 bucks each. (just a guess)
I guess my point is the mark up is pretty high as we all know but I got a little taste of what it was back then. I would love to see someone cement a factory connection to bring us our reps .
+1

Thanks a lot for all those pics....

Thanks a lot for the pics ....Amazing watch....the only thing to ask to the dealer before shipping is to QC all the lume dots...congrats

My slate grey one from Angus arrived yesterday!!
Wow, very shiny and very thick, compared to my Superocean. AR is good.
The colour of the delivered leather strap is too light for my skin complexion...
I will try it on my 22mm HKTAN though!
I will be posting a nice high res photo review somewhere this weekend.
Here is the first low res pic.
Can't wait for your pics.. :D

Accurate slide rule PLEASE!!!
That would seal the deal for me.
+1 and a double AR..

It is such a shame that this rep has so many QC problems. The OCC has the potential of super rep status if not for the lack of QC. Problems with this rep is evident in all areas of the watch. Here is my first OCC. Notice the lume at 4 o'clock? Worse yet, look at the lume on the minute hand. I almost wanted to throw this watch out the friggin window. The feel of the rep itself is phenomenal. The QC though is about the worse I have seen and heard on a single model rep. It is off to The Zigmeister right now for a complete relume.
I'm lucky but I didn't have all these flaws except the misalignment of the Date/Day. For the lume, I wanted to send it too to Zig...Will wait for your pics.. and wait for the next slot..

Hi,
got 2 of these.
The first was OK but had the reversed SUNday issue. Sold it to a member who was OK with that : avoided a trip back to CN and made someone whose country is too strict with customs happy.
The second came this morning : it i apparently in very good condition.
Indeed, we heard many issues about this OCC :
- DW problem
- dust under the crystal
- crown popping up
- bezel
- scratches new the lugs
This is too much and the only cure is to ask for a strong QC to your dealer before shipment : who will do that ..?
I have asked 2 dealers to make this QC before ordering : one answered "watch is as on the pictures".
The other did the QC (including the check of the DW), sent me pictures to at least check for visual defects.
He got my order. And that's the way I intend to do business : ask the dealer to do a bit more than "pushing boxes".
As always, I'm wondering why we blindly protect those who pretend to do QC, and actually never see or check what they ship : we often hear that "this is exceptionnal, it is one bad transaction out of hundreds..." How can one know that ? Most of the time the complains are never made public.
sorry to hear this Ajoesmith, it's always painful to return a watch, even if we know the dealer won't be reluctant on this : loss of time, and often loss of money.
+1 same opinion...
