  1. That's because you've got your Blue Mojo bracelet working for you...
  2. Chalk one up on the kindness board for you, Linder.... Thanks for the offer, but I just wanted to browse and see what's new with Jay & Co. "The full moon brings happiness to the impatient suitor".... (Ancient Chinese Proverb) Another Post-Scriptum: Hey, I finally got through! Someone must have started pedalling the bike generator that powers the server.....
  3. very, very...very.... Timed-out! I'll keep trying.... Thanks for the info, Linder! Post Scriptum: This is not even a case of the old 'slow boat to China' syndrome. No way. Keep getting 'Unable to Connect' message after interminable wait - and I'm on a fast cable connection....
  4. Ok guys, I've done the 'search' so now I'm reduced to doing the noobie lurch: Where the devil has http://www.silix-prime.com gone? Get through to watchsilix fine, but no way to connect to the former.... Anyone know what's up with that?

  6. Mahler, what does 'Cheap Have Good Passing' mean? Passing = Pussy? I know you're Italian, but you're starting to sound like a Chinese hooker...
  7. The bitter truth - as they used to say - is that there's no such thing as a free lunch. Particularly when what's being served is of high quality. (Burp). Excuse me.
  8. Even if the insurance doesn't pay off, you might get an Honorable Mention in The Darwin Awards....
  9. Just checked Josh's specs: it's a 47mm case, but with a Swiss Unitas movement.... Guess you can't have it all at once....
  10. To my knowledge, the only (other than Watchmaster - and try to find one....) to offer a 45mm Radiomir-cased vintage Pam California dial. Moveable lugs for swapping staps, display back and just the right size for those who can't accomodate the 47mm cases. Overall, looks good to me. Your opinions? 11. Congratulations and best wishes, Andrew.... You'll see, it's a life-changing experience! (especially when you have to get up a three in the morning to change his diapers.....) :-)
  12. Chris, as what you would qualify as a left-handed ruminator interested in the organization of my own mind, I found myself obscessing over following question as I did your survey, namely: Is Slippery Rock located anywhere near Rolling Rock? Interesting survey, btw. Your reference to paradoxical self-reference in relation to the example of a Gödel-type question reminds me of the work done by people like R.D. Laing on double-bind (damned if you do, damned if you don't) linguistic constructions which he felt were used to drive designated victims mad ('schizophrenic'), often in family contexts. Your "...so I have to remain in silence, unable to give a true statement." speaks volumes to me, both by personal and professional experience. But before I forget, Rolling Rock?
  13. Have a good one, Ken, and may this day mark the beginning of even more good things to come....!
  14. Trust science to find an answer. Hydrogen fuel cell cows.
  15. It's Paris By Night on RWG! Here's my Lunar Webcam. Honest!
  16. Much too serious to post in the humor section or The Bin. What was it they used to say? 'Here come the Judge!' http://www.channel3000.com/news/9701741/detail.html
  17. Do you have credit card processing capacity so that we can pay to see you do exciting things with them? How much for winding one in real-time? Or changing the strap?! (ryyannon is beginning to foam at the mouth...) What about a Full Monty! Take that back cover right off! A little lube! Disengage the crown and stem! Arrrgggg......ugggg......ummmph.... I'm afraid we'll have to censor the rest.
  18. The only thing I invest in is pigeons, and even they laugh at me (you should see the 'return on investment' I receive'). But I keep reading elsewhere that metals (gold, naturally, but even stuff like nickel) is currrently where it's at. Actually, this would have been a good tip around six months' ago, but at this point, it's really yesterday's news. Despite the rather disappointing returns in pigeon-hedging - unless the world rediscovers the value of guano - I still would not risk the little I have, which is all tied in in short-term but decently-yielding and Federally-insured Certificates of Deposit. Yeah, I know, only a pigeon would go that way, but you end up resembling the animals you hang out with.... My tip: be born rich, and let someone whose job depends on making you richer, manage your fortune.
  19. Sorry, post inflation here. Not sure how it happened, but it did. My excuses.....
  20. Thanks for taking care of business.... An (almost) thankless task, but much appreciated by many.
  21. Still waiting for word from Josh. @Pugwash: Whaddayamean, 'Thankfully'? (You should be so lucky. Huffs off)
  22. Fast: If you're in Paris, we (Pug, Usil and I) would be happy to meet up with you one of these early evenings for drinks, délires and drolerie.....! :-)
  23. Not only that, but French is a language which is progressively dying from lack of inventivity and and a domestic influx of new words and expressions. Google the subject if you don't believe me: American English is hugely richer in terms of pure vocabulary and expressions, while French suffers a continual attrition (words and expressions which fall by the wayside of history) coupled with no new input - plus the 'Language Police' (l'Académie francaise), which has life and death approval over the acceptance any 'new' word appearing in print or on the spoken media. A real Orwellian nightmare, resulting in a language which is increasingly out of synch with reality insofar as it lacks the words to describe it. This in itself explains much of the 'French Exception' in the contemporary world. Example at hand: I challenge le-LibanoMarseillais to provide the French equivalent of a simple pharse like "Bonnus the Boner is a bottom-feeding, scamming scum of an asshat. No way, José. Simple in English, impossible in French.
  24. I would think you could special order just about any watch you see from Narikaa, who is EU-based. Might take a little longer to obtain, but you'll have no problems with customs.
