  1. My white letter 1680 Polex. I wear this one pretty much daily. Got tired of the dull ass red and too big font so, the red letter is in pieces waiting on a 5513 dial. I still want a 1665 soooo BAD. One day, I wont be broke and the dollar will be worth a dollar.
  2. Thank you and Happy Fathers Day to everyone. I agree, I like Dad better too. Father is the one who has to cut that ass when they act fool.
  3. I agree. What a DummyStupid move on DSN's part. Business must be booming to pass up Uncle as a customer.
  4. Based on the post by Eurotimes (Chris) post and what to look for in the copy eta movements, The fact they covered all those up in the picture would have me think it is a copy. They are in China.
  5. If the holes are smaller on Michael's hands you could have them broached.
  6. Yup, do a search for keyless works with forum member Bazz. He did a nice post on this and it helped me fix mine right up. A watchmaker could fix it pretty cheap too if you don't dare take it on yourself.
  7. I use rubber gloves (like doctors use) and my thumbs. Never had a scratch and I never met one I cant open.
  8. The gen uses a regulator to improve timekeeping, the rep is just for looks. No one will see it unless he hands his watch to someone. If they know the brand, game over with or without the regulator. I like the regulator, because I am still trying to fool my wrist into thinking I bought a gen.
  9. Guess we all will have to wait on that UN side by side. That is one brand that is same from copy.
  10. Sweet. Did you get a good deal or have they gone up bit? How about some side by side shots w/ rep & gen if you find some free time? Edit, to add that it always helps when you have both in the same lighting to compare.
  11. With the cost of gold today, I say it's sales hype.
  12. I am certainly not one of the more knowledgeable on the Dayton's, but I am going to say it's a fake. In my opinion there are many parts that just don't look right. The dial looks wrong, the bezel insert looks wrong, and also the bridges look too new and like they have been added, so I say it's all a franken, but a nice one. Like I said, I am just having some fun here and I am not an expert by any stretch of the imagination.
  13. This one for Friday the 13th and prolly all weekend. I may change it up to the BCE if I find the time to get it back together.
  14. I get the same. It's rare that I put up a post and spell everything correctly. Oh well. Now everyone knows the truth.
  15. I was thinking more about the powders than the paint. I think maybe it would look more like tritium if applied with a binder.
  16. on the web page it says Litroenergy TM samples are not available at this time. Once available we will announce. Maybe they are just not ready to sell only market.
  17. Nocti has a new binder on their web sight type 3. Also a new pigment available this month, they appear to be marketing it as a competitor to SL and It's not cheap. I have not used any of their products, but may get some new binder to try.
  18. Looks like it. I know one other member that will be interested when he sees your post. I would sacrifice the super bright 45 second glow of SL for something that glows bright 24/7 without a light source. I just wonder if the particle size is small enough for us. It says non toxic so if it is we could grind it down hopefully. Or better yet, it's good like it is.
  19. If you remember, let me know what they say. I can mail them too as they are in the US, but dont want to flood them with messages.
  20. I will second that one too. WTF?
  21. You should be pushing the depressed button to the left of the blue dot below the yellow arrow.
  22. Welcome mpatrizio. Prepare your check book now for the beat down that will follow.
