I just received the latest Noob SD 4000. The fit and finish is amazing. Is there a thread that I missed regarding this watch? Sure if you hold the watch at a certain angle the dial looks a bit glossy but everything else looks very good. Tight end links, beautifully brushed bracelet, rehaut engraving lines up perfectly.
I had PbDad mod a silex 6538 and I believe he just shaved down the crystal that came with the watch. The BIG issue with all of the rep case sets are the case lugs. The gen lugs are straighter than all the rep cases I have seen. The reps all have the typical curved lugs of a modern sub. You would not think the difference would be anything to notice but indeed it's very noticeable and just ruins the LOOK. I have asked several of the cartel dealers to ask the factories to make a one to one case set but they all say they need the gen to do it right and of course they won't spend 30,000 for a gen.
I have a beautiful H factory 240J. Love it except for the inside corners of its CG. How difficult is it to file the inside corners to eliminate the rounded appearance? Is there a tutorial anywhere to guide me?
Have you tried cleaning the watch case with dish soap and water?
I own the h factory v3 and my feeling is it's case color is the best available. Everything else is just too dark....nearly black.
I have a few KW watches and they never fail to impress. I believe overall KW produces a better watch. That being said every rep watch has faults....in terms of the Bronzo the only issues are the pearl being a bit rounded and the edge of the bezel not beveled/polished to a shine.
I actually own the z factory version. It's a great watch but I can't get around the fact the color looks like brass to my eyes rather than bronze. In fact I handed the watch to several friends and each said it looked like a brass watch. The KW watch seems to look more like bronze.
The major issue with this watch as well as the Yuki 6538 cases is that rehaut. Very wokky and too deep vs the gen. Also I've never seen a rep case that had the correct case profile. The gen 6538 case has those long case lugs with the very tips turning down. This is as opposed to the more modern subs that have more curved lugs which on the wrist makes the lugs appear shorter than gen. I have a cartel watch which Pbdad reworked ....shaved down the crystal, drilled the lug holes, aged the dial. I think although inaccurate as all the rep 6538s are it is the best bang for the buck.
