Exactly right. You start playing n the hobby and stock reps are nice, the more you know the more you try to improve. And like you said you find other watches and then want them. Lol.

I agree, but I would also say that a lot of people start out wanting a nice rep with acouple mods and over time it turns into a Franken. And a lot of times it's done over acouple years a few hundred here and there. Or finding a good deal on one part or another. Then by the time they are done it would've been financially smarter to go gen. Also to a lot of people that might not plan on ever selling would like to have a almost gen Franken for half the retail gen.

Just My opinion but I think dial print is way off. Letters look to think and not sharp. Make sure big seconds hand resets to zero. Doesn't have Rolex engravings on movement like phongs. Does mean case or other parts aren't phong. Also looks like small second hand is newer than other two subdial hands.

Anyone have experience putting white gold parts on stainless steel case reps where the gen watches are white gold.I've seen a few that you couldn't tell the difference between parts. Just wondering what are some thoughts.

Gen bezels are hard to find. I purchased 2 that we're suppose to be gen but wasn't and I had to send back. I finally got one sealed. Took a long time.

Just had pbdad put gen bezel, dial,crystal, and crown on first series YM. That should answer your question

Unless your ride is $60k plus, your convos will start with "fake rolex bud". Or if you drive a ford focus the only person thinking its real is the guy jacking u. The only thing worst than getting shot over your rolex is getting shot over your fake one. Oh wait, at least if your shot over your fake, maybe u have a real one to wear at home if u survive. I think gold stands out enough personally. If you want bling get stainless and stop at the diamond bezel. That's just me.

To me the dial does not look gen. Looks to me like the 12 triangle point is slightly left of crown.

I got the last one of bks stock. Sent to pbdad to install gen dial, crown,tube,crystal and bezel. Can't wait to get it back.
