  1. I've been working of a v72 6239 rep. I gave up for a few months and I'm getting back to it. The movement is a v726 from an Enicar. Everything fits beautifully in the case, except that the dial feet are too short. It appears that the Enicar dial "flares" a bit at the edges and the spacers between the dial and movement might be longer than usual. Has anyone seen this? Would you just have the dial feet extended to accommodate? Or, will the increase in spacing between the dial and case cause a problem with the hands. This is my first watch assembly and I think I my have picked a tough one. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
  2. I've been trying to build a v72 for about the past 6months. Destroyed my last dial and I'm looking for a rep friendly watchmaker to finish for me. Anyone know someone in the Chicago suburbs? Don
  3. I saw them. They are 6263 dials. Thanks for the heads-up though.
  4. I've been working on a v72 6239 project. The crystal was difficult to fit. However, I think I have it near perfect. I had to build a tool and turn it on the lathe, then fillet and polish. I used thread locker on the pushers and lubricated the seal on the case back. After submerging the watch in a glass of water for approx. 20min, I'm still getting slight leakage from somewhere. Would you expect this? Is it meant to just be water resistant not waterproof? Thanks in advance, Don
  5. I don't have the correct case for it. I was just trying out the color combo with the 6239 case. Freddy mentioned that the black/ gold PN never came with the red hour markers. I saw this face on a watch on Hodinkee and a gen dial for sale at a reputable dealer with it as well. Anyone else know if this is correct?
  6. I've been lurking in the forum for about 6 months now and it seems that I have picked up the bug. I've purchased an Enicar v726 movement, 6239 case and more recently a 6263 PN Daytona dial. The dial is black with light gold subs. I bought it, even though it didn't match my case, because of the excellent quality of the dial and fonts. I dislike gold watches, but I am kind of digging the ss case and black/gold dial combo. Couple of questions: - Was this ever a factory color combo? - If I decide to go with it, what color hands would I use with this dial and a ss case? Any info/thoughts would be appreciated. I've attached a photo in the 6239 case.
  7. It's the cube shaped part behind the lumen dot.
  8. I just bought a 6263 PN service dial that has an hour marker missing. Any suggestions on where to source a replacement?
  9. I'm building a Daytona rep and am having a difficult time finding a v726 compatible 6239 dial. The only decent one that I've seen was a Rolex service unit at $2750, yikes. Any sources, thoughts?
