  1. Not that one - i made a blue one as well.

I sold the white one as a $100 project since it needed a some work and recently seen where he slammed me over the watch. I guess he missed the part about it being a "project".

Really wish I'd kept it and finished it myself since I like the quartz Seamasters so much. Just bought my girlfriend a gen for Christmas. Strange seeing a Seamaster Pro that small.

  2. is that a josh case predfan?

The 7928 is the new one available thru most TDs. I got this one from Trusty and changed the crystal, bleached an eBay bezel and aged the markers. The case is the type with the stubby cgs and the plastic crystal ring. I do like the drilled lug holes but they are too small. I opened them up a little.

The 94010 is a franken I recently purchased. I think that is a case like the ones from Josh. The cgs are better on this one than the 7928 rep.

  3. I'm sort of thinking alot of you are trying to split hairs. Most of us just want a no-date that appears correct. Not one that is an exact replica that will take every gen part. :pardon:

No way would I expect a rep 14060 to be an exact match in every measurement.

  4. That's the watch that ended my dealings with Trusty. I ordered that and got the typial "conical rehaut...bad Oyster Perpetual font" rep. Man I was po'd. I know not all rep dealers can be trusted....but this guy is known as a "trusted" dealer and after all of that money (his reps are retail as far as reps go) I get a different watch???

  5. I was at my local Walmart last night and glanced over at the cheapie watches and saw something that looked sort of like a X33. I probably would have bought it for the heck of it but it was in a black chrome finish. I would like to have a watch in that style for a beater....I wonder how you would search it on EBay? Multifuntion??

  6. If the lug holes add significantly to the cost then I would say to pass. As long as there are existing holes it's pretty easy to drill them larger.

I agree. Drilling them is no problem with the right bit....but I have had NO luck drilling in cases that have no lugholes. I used the right cobalt bit and punched the case for a starting point. I mount the case (I practiced on and old Sandoz Sub case and a bad rep Sub case) up in my drill press and ruined both of them. The bit would start dancing around and wouldn't even start drilling. They usually broke. I tried oil and different bits...no luck. :wounded1:

  7. I picked up a tripod today in the hope that my pics for EBay will not be shakey. Thought I'd test out the tripod and camera timer on the SMP. I put my "mostly gen" bracelet on today....it just took a little filing to get it fitted. I'm really enjoying this watch....still trying to decide if I'm going to leave the green insert or replace it with another color.

But I said I was done mod'ing watches?? :pardon:
