  1. I sold the white one as a $100 project since it needed a some work and recently seen where he slammed me over the watch. I guess he missed the part about it being a "project". Really wish I'd kept it and finished it myself since I like the quartz Seamasters so much. Just bought my girlfriend a gen for Christmas. Strange seeing a Seamaster Pro that small.
  2. The 7928 is the new one available thru most TDs. I got this one from Trusty and changed the crystal, bleached an eBay bezel and aged the markers. The case is the type with the stubby cgs and the plastic crystal ring. I do like the drilled lug holes but they are too small. I opened them up a little. The 94010 is a franken I recently purchased. I think that is a case like the ones from Josh. The cgs are better on this one than the 7928 rep.
  3. It's a T39 I got from Helfands. The pearl sucked so I removed it since the pics.
  4. Reminds me....I should get out my Quartz Omega. I just gotta adjust the date after a 30 day month
  5. I'm sort of thinking alot of you are trying to split hairs. Most of us just want a no-date that appears correct. Not one that is an exact replica that will take every gen part. No way would I expect a rep 14060 to be an exact match in every measurement.
  6. That's the watch that ended my dealings with Trusty. I ordered that and got the typial "conical rehaut...bad Oyster Perpetual font" rep. Man I was po'd. I know not all rep dealers can be trusted....but this guy is known as a "trusted" dealer and after all of that money (his reps are retail as far as reps go) I get a different watch???
  7. Ok...I just spewed Coca Cola out of my nose. I bit the hook. Nice work!
  8. Why would anybody want an Omega with a green bezel insert?
  9. None of the 5517 Subs I have owned had a date wheel.....but those cheapie no cg Subs usually have a datewheel. No Rolex font though. The no-date that I have now has a datewheel underneath though. The movement came out of a MBW 1680.
  10. I've read where people have said that this is just a PO case. But that can't be the case since this has plexi right??
  11. Nope....I don't like that black-chrome case color. That movement in a stainless case would be cool.
  12. No.....the one I saw was a cheapie no name watch. The LCD and hands were layed out much like the X33.
  13. I was at my local Walmart last night and glanced over at the cheapie watches and saw something that looked sort of like a X33. I probably would have bought it for the heck of it but it was in a black chrome finish. I would like to have a watch in that style for a beater....I wonder how you would search it on EBay? Multifuntion??
  14. I could actually deal with a nodate like this as long as it had lugholes. The dial looks pretty good.....but that crystal seems too tall. What collector sells this one?
  15. I agree. Drilling them is no problem with the right bit....but I have had NO luck drilling in cases that have no lugholes. I used the right cobalt bit and punched the case for a starting point. I mount the case (I practiced on and old Sandoz Sub case and a bad rep Sub case) up in my drill press and ruined both of them. The bit would start dancing around and wouldn't even start drilling. They usually broke. I tried oil and different bits...no luck.
  16. I would be in the market for a nodate like the one you just did. I have purchased 2 14060 reps and woth were garbage...the ones with the bad "Oyster Perpetual" fonts and conical rehaut. That rep you started with looks better than the ones I have seen.
  17. Having been away awhile, I've noticed that more sites are offering the Tudor Hyronaut reps. I did a search and didn't see where anyone had reviewed one. Any opinions on this rep? I wouldn't mind having one to wear.
  18. I picked up a tripod today in the hope that my pics for EBay will not be shakey. Thought I'd test out the tripod and camera timer on the SMP. I put my "mostly gen" bracelet on today....it just took a little filing to get it fitted. I'm really enjoying this watch....still trying to decide if I'm going to leave the green insert or replace it with another color. But I said I was done mod'ing watches?? Here's the specs so far Case-An older SMP rep case Crystal-Sapphire Movement-Swiss quartz Dial-Gen Hands-Gen Bezel insert-Green rep with mod'ed pearl Bracelet-Gen Omega GMT Endlinks-SMP replacements off of EBay....reps I found wouldn't fit the gen links Clasp-Engraved SMP replacement off of EBay....reps wouldn't fit the gen links
  19. Somebody should do this for resale. I'd like to have a Noob with lugholes....and maybe I'd pop a non sel band on it??
