  1. Hard to beat Costco for price and return policy for just about any product.
  2. Beautiful specimen from a great member and friend. Words really cannot describe the awesomeness of this build. A true piece of art and Rolex history. Congratulations on the outcome

  5. That is a really nice looking piece Jack. I saw what I think is a correct gen insert the other day for $3k[emoji615]️. Kind of blows the moderate budget build idea up [emoji378] Sent from my droptop using telepathy.
  6. Hi and welcome to the forum. Ambitious project for just starting. Just acquiring decent tools could cost more than the build. You may want to read and read and read for a bit to get familiar with parts and products and how these builds go together. Also you may want to work with one of the experienced builders/watch smiths on a build or two so you can see how all this works and maybe in future try to put your own together. If you are after a franken DJ, I would contact member mymanmatt and inquire about a build. He does awesome work.
  7. Hey quit bagging on Audi's.....I drive an Audi
  8. That dude must live in WA where smoking weed is legal...No comparison.
  9. Do not care for the E part, but the color and texture of that strap is awesome.
  10. Now that is the ultimate 16610. Maxi dial and lug holes and a SEAHAWKS green insert. Sent from my droptop using telepathy.
  11. Tough question. Straight otb rep was the Noob v2 216570 Exp II polar. Great stock rep. TC 16610 is hard to beat for the money. Favorite build of the year...5513 without a doubt [emoji322] Sent from my droptop using telepathy.
  12. I am a sucker for a maxi dial but I would probably go with the regular as well. Much easier and more cost effective to source. Sent from my droptop using telepathy.
  13. I had to watch this again. I forgot to add the platinum gold feature in my DD sales thread. I love platinum gold[emoji383][emoji385][emoji383] Sent from my droptop using telepathy.
  14. Beautiful work here. Case edges look nice and sharp which is difficult when thinning/shaping. I was able to get the thinness on mine but lost some of the edge. I have another case for another attempt. Curious what proper tool did you use? Man that looks really good. Sent from my droptop using telepathy.
  15. Happy New Year from the Pacific Northwest! Go Hawks [emoji458][emoji458][emoji458][emoji458]! Sent from my droptop using telepathy.
  16. Be careful on Ebay lots of fakes for gen prices. I have been looking for a while for 9315. Ran across a few 93150 that were genuine and in good shape, but I am holding out for a 9315.
  17. Man you do not play around. Great choice on the year Awesome parts selection. She is going to be a beauty. Where in the **** did you find that 700 crown. Looking forward to seeing this one completed.
  18. I have told this story before: Yes, back in 2004 I traded my beloved genuine 16613 for a Corvette race car shell and bought my first rep to replace it. I still have that rep today. The 16613 was my first Rolex so it had a lot of sentimental value, but the car was one of those deals that does not come along very often and I had to make a really quick on the spot decision. I sold the Corvette quickly and later that year bought a gen two tone datejust, but kept that rep and have worn it a lot over the last 10 years. I miss my old 16613 but it was worth doing that deal--the watch needed a long overdue service also....
  19. I think I can justify a late Christmas present to myself....
  20. Thanks. Very nice piece. Never been much of a Tag fan, but that is a really great looking watch. Congrats. Sent from my droptop using telepathy.
  21. Cool piece. What model/year? Looks vintage. Sent from my droptop using telepathy.
  22. No problem. For the lume you are going to have to search around a bit. I have used Cwazy1 over on RWI and he is great. To be honest not sure he does the orange thing though. There are guys on all the forums that do lume work, but you have to reach out to them and see if they can/will do it. Lume job is generally around $100. Other option is to contact the trusted dealers, tell them what you want and see if they can get it stock for you. Many times they have access to pieces that are not on their websites. I think I have seen a piece like in your picture before, just do not remember where. I would send emails to a few of the dealers and see what they say.
