  1. I saw that episode too. Yup, I think it was a RO for sure. I always notice the watches that Ari wears. He had a Frank Muller he was wearing last season. I was trying to figure out what Turtle was wearing though.
  2. There is a coated resin on the inside of the strap. The pins are very tight on the strap and are definately not loose. Keep in mind that the conversion links are made for the Oracle straps, so they are going to fit a little different. The HK strap is very thick and that is why you see a little bit of he link end. It still beats the $550 that AP Bands wants to charge for a kit and strap. Oracle conversion kit and carbon fiber strap costs only $95 which is a fantastic deal.
  3. After 2 long awaited months, my honey gator hornback strap has finally arrived. The strap was ordered from Aaron at HKTan. I could not be happier with the quality of this strap. It completely transforms the watch into something really special. The conversion links were purchased from Oracle Straps which came with a carbon fiber strap. Anyways, here are the pics:
  4. My deepest sympathies to you Ken. My family prays for you during this difficult time. Best wishes to you pal. A
  5. Are not all reps based on a genuine as a sample? I mean reps are supposed to be based on their gen counterparts.
  6. I noticed that not many are discussing this new rep. Any thoughts? How accurate is this model?
  7. I also suggest the Flying B. Excellent watch. Another good choice is the Santos 100 Chrono or XL. Very nice watches and looks stunning on a HKTan gator strap.
  8. Here is mine from Josh with brown dial
  9. I am assuming that this movement will be the same as the 6.75. The Zigmeister did a review of this modified movement a few months back and had a lot of good things to say about it. I have a 6.75 and it has been great so far. I have never had any dealer refuse to repair any of my watches so I hope this is the same for others as well.
  10. The lug length is actually pretty close. The side by side pic did not capture the lug angle.
  11. I have personally held a Flying B and it is truely a watch to behold. I didn't feel like forking over 30k so I decided to buy the next best thing. I bought the Flying B from Joshua and got to me in 4 days. There are all sorts of comments floating around the forums about this rep being way overpriced at the $550 marker. Andrew has stated that the dial alone costs nearly a $100 to make. How does it stack up to the super rep and super value Skyland? The first thing you will notice about the Flying B is it's enormous size. The case diameter measures in at a whopping 41mm X 58mm. It totally overshadows the Cartier Santos 100 Chrono. It is definately not for someone with 6" wrists. I chose the ss bracelet which seems just like the one that came with my 6.75. I also have the brown leather deployant strap in case I want to switch it up. Here are some side by side pics of the Skyland and Flying B The dial is quite striking and I can see why it would be costly to produce. It features mother of pearl markers that are hard to capture with a camera but is really striking to look at. The inner checkered ss dial is recessed and looks very close to the gen. Subdials are also recessed and feature see through open design hands. The Chrono pushers and crown seems very faithful to the gen and are highly polished. The crown stem seems also very sturdy and does not wobble. The watch is quite heavy and the factory did a very good job polishing the case. The case back has all the proper markings and the engraving of the Flying B is excellent. One of the biggest gripes I have is the color of the date font. You might all remember the first Bentley 6.75's that came out with the bright red date font. The date font used for the Flying B is the same as the new 6.75's with the darker maroon date wheels. It is better but still not dark enough like the gens. I still don't understand why the factories can not get this right. This is the one big tell on this watch. The lume on the hour and minute markers is a little too green if you compare it to the gen. The gen looks like it might use a luminova close to C1. Luminosity on the Flying B is like any typical mainstream rep and is not very good. Certainly something that The Zigmeister can fix up. Side by side comparison of gen and rep. Overall I am fairly impressed with the Flying B. It measures up quite well to the gen and feels very substantial. The dial is gorgeous to look at and will be sure to draw attention. So is the Flying B worth the $550? I think so. It is remarkable on the wrist and feels like a tank!! Pros:- Beautifully crafted dial w/gen MOP markers - High polished case giving the gen like appearance - Fantastic bling bling for you big wristed individuals - Nice and sturdy crown stem - Handy self-defence tool Cons: - Pricey - Date Font not dark enough like gen - Lume on markers too green with poor luminosity - Not suitable for individuals with small wrists Overall Score: B
  12. LOL!! I had to do a double take looking at the power reserve dial. Thought it said Trusty Time.
  13. I buy reps surely for the enjoyment of experiencing the variety of models available. It costs fractions of a gen and with how good reps are, they satisfy my curiosity. At the end of the day though, nothing beats a gen. I collect both and enjoy collecting both. If I am going to buy a gen, I have to really love the watch. There is something about opening a brown package wrapped in EMS tape however. It feels like Christmas everytime I get one
  14. Here is a wallpaper made from a sunset landscape taken from the last cruise I was on. Lume shot on stock SSD with a Canon Rebel XTI.
  15. Best wishes to you and your family. I has been great to have you around. Your avatar will live on in infamy. Please visit us when you can Joe.
  16. Good lord!! I wish you a speedy recovery. That looks painful as hell. You might need to get that eye serviced
  17. Has anyone tried to contact Andrew or Josh to come out in the open and comment on these accusations? There must be a great deal of concern with them, knowing that this issue will have an impact on their business. I have only been with the forums for a year and a half and a lot has evolved since then. I bought 90% of my reps from A&J and have been quite satisfied for the most part. With all this info on the table it makes me very leary though. I have tried Angus, Jay and Davidson and they have been great. I don't know if their attitude is so cavalier that they don't care about RWG or RWI. RG seems oblivious to this issue and seem to dwell on happy times of rep collecting. Do they know things that we don't? I have really enjoyed this hobby for the short time I have been around and spent close to 20K with A&J. It makes me wonder if that money would have been better spent somewhere else?
  18. Just curious how the carbon fiber is on the dial? Is it simular to that of the HBB?
  19. Lets take a guess to see how many pages this thread is going to go on for
  20. Josh is without a doubt one of the quickest dealers out there. 4 business days to Canada for me usually, provided the item is instock. As stated, great communication and very prompt.
  21. I also agree about their association with Repgeek. They are the most favored dealers there by far despite any implications or problems. A&J are continually active in posts there as well. I am not even sure if they even care about their suspension at RWI. It is a little setback to them but no big deal. I know that you have always stood by A&J Andrew, as did I. But like you, there is a fine line to proper business accumen when dealing with customers. I will not even post some of the comments Trusty has sent be because I don't want to create a slander war, but they are less than proper. Ever since the "little white lies" thread, their reputation is worstening. I am just waiting for them to respond, because this is obviously concerning to members on all forums. I am not saying I will never buy from them again but It is good that we have other choices.
  22. Here is my 3717. Just as stated, one of my favorite reps and modded to the max. Too much wrist time to let it go unfortunately. Mods: Swiss ETA Swap Date wheel swap Chieftang double AR The Zigmeister Relume HKTan custom strap
  23. Because it all goes to show the perceived connection and relationship of A&J. They consider them as "one". I agree that it is not fair to bring Joshua into this if the issue didn't not like evidence to associate him either. As far as I am concerned, they are still 2 separate dealers. The way they run there business is simular, but they are truely 2 different people. You can get a very good feel of someone's demeanor by just text communication. Joshua is very nice and reserved. Andrew is outspoken and agressive. This is evident in all my communications with them.
  24. Her name is Elisha Cuthbert. She is a Canadian actress that lived close to me. I have met her a few times and she is now dating Dion Phenuef of the Calgary Flames. Some of you might know her from the TV show "24".
