  1. Noobs that are unhappy (or vets for that matter) with their watches are just lying to themselves when they order a $300 watch and expect the quality of a $10,000 watch. I don't buy watches to fool myself (or others) into thinking I am better off than I really am. I buy watches because I enjoy the hobby and it gives me lots to talk about with wonderful people on these boards.

I look at replicas this way. I buy a nice watch for around $300 because I like it, regardless of what it says on the dial, although the name does help. It is fun to see how close they can get the fine details. I usually don't expect much so I am happier when the watch arrives most of the time. I have had a few purchases that fell below my expectations but I take the good with the bad. I have had a few die in a week or two and I take it as a loss. No bitching or complaining from me.

I take the little white lies with a grain of salt, it's marketing. How much advertising is 100% truthful? I guess it is in my nature to trust noone so again I am rarely let down.

All in all I am very happy to have this and other forums and be able to collect great watches without spending tons of money. If you add up my current collection I probably have somewhere in the neighborhood of $250,000 in watches all for about $5,000. So YES I am very happy.

The only negative thought I have in my mind right now is why do they have to come out with so many great watches all at once? How am I going to pay for the 10 other watches that are on my list today that I wanted yesterday?

    Well said

  2. Yes I am. Since I saw this one in a TAG shop and saw how it looked being worn in the film Crank (or GTA3, the Movie as I call it) I decided it was the one for me. The red is a little too harsh, maybe. I mean I'd wear it if I had it, but I think the silver is better.

I like it very much too

I think its the same that Alonso wears know he is in McLaren Mercedes

Anyway if a dealer will bring it I ll take it

  3. Have you seen all the sites and shops everywhere openly selling rep bags and purses etc? How about airplane parts? Nike shoes? Watch reps are a very small part of the knock off world and will continue with little trouble.

I agree. Trouble will always be there sometimes more sometimes less but the rep world will remain and survive

And I think that this board has nothing to be afraid of

  4. Most collectors on this forum don't pay too much attention to luxury dress watches like Cartier and Breguet. Breguet is one of the most storied brands out there, and I always wanted one. One of my first reps was a crappy Breguet rep that was as thick as a tuna can and had a "guilloche" face that didn't fool anybody. As new Breguet reps were introduced by various dealers, they always continued to suck major sh*t. Now the trend in Breguet reps is to add a stupid "torbillion" movement, which is about as sure a way to scream FAKE as to etch the word into the crappy "guilloche" paper face. As soon as I learned more about reps and my collection grew, I chucked the Breguet piece because it cheapened my collection.

Anyway, much to my amazement, Andrew is now stocking a beautiful Breguet rep that really hits the mark. It's the right size, has the right thickness, has a passable guilloche face, and isn't crapped up with zirconia or goofy escapement mechanisms. It's real gold too, which is what gives it the price tag that's out of my range. Now let's hope that the factory that chuned this out will make one in rose gold or gold plate, and maybe toss in an Asian movement to bring the price into line. What a beauty!

Iam 100% with you on that

lets hope that we are going to see some good breguet reps of the clasique collection with power reserve and other complications

Andrew made the first step but i think something arount 700$ - 1000$ is more tempting

  5. I was so overwhelmed with all the sites I was looking at yesterday I didn't even read any of the posts before I posted mine (something I try not to do at new forms!)

Anyway, after only reading for 10 min or so, I'm confident Andrew or josh will be able to sell me exactly what I'm looking for!

I think this company bestswiss.com is trying to sell the same watches for $850. At least the pictures look the same. Anyone know? I've attached a picture from bestswiss.com

IMO Andrew and josh are the best of the best

go for it and you wont be disapointed
