  1. Yep, definately! Either offer it as a service, or - perhaps even better - sell the fully-modded rotors separately. All you would need is a couple of engraved rotors to start with.. Anyone knows any dealer who could supply these? Cheers!
  2. I have the Tuiga too, and it's really as good as a HBB rep will ever get (probably). The cf is a bit sharper (and has a smaller pattern) on the gen.
  3. Francisco, thanks for an excellent tutorial! Would you consider to sell your services? I know maaaaany HBB owners that would be willing to pay a fair ammount to have their HBB's treated like yours!
  4. I've thought of the exact same thing - I'll probably have to try it out
  5. I'll have one here in a few days time - I'll be sure to take some pics for you! As far as I'm concerned, the markers look good. The only big tell is the datewheel, that has white numerals instead of dark grey as per gen...
  6. Correct again. If someone has an old one for sale - let me know
  7. Ditto. It's a pretty bad tell when a supposedly unscratchable bezel has scratches. I have the exact same experience with the different versions, so my recommendation is to go with the expensive one.
  8. Scam, don't waste your time and money on it.
  9. Here you are! Only managed to take one pic before the camera battery died on me: It's actually very nicely finished, and feels solid on your wrist. Runs very well, supposedly ETA powered. No idea how close it is to the original. Pretty certain mine's the same as this one: http://www.puretimewatch.com/index.php?productID=73 Drop me a line if you're interested, I never use it anyway... Cheers! pedro
  10. I have one that I never use. Hold on and I'll take some pics!
  11. Anything less double AR is an immediate tell on these babies... As someone pointed out, the best option available (to achieve a gen look) is sending the crystal off to chief to have him AR it. I have it done on one of my pieces and it's absolutely amazing. But it takes some effort and time. So it's all about how anal you are. On the ss/ss (which doesn't have any texture on the dial that needs to be brought out), I think factory double AR will be totally ok! Good luck! pedro
  12. There have been HBB's with gen 7750's for sale on RG one or two times. If I recall correctly, it was a real nightmare to do the movement swap.
  13. Don't care the least about fotball - I think the annoying part here is the watch being almost indescribably ugly. uLTra sPeCiaL LiMiTeD eDiTioN too, of course!
  14. I've seen it done on both Big Bang and Big Bang King, and it doesn't take a huge ammount of work. Looks very cool! There's a thread on RG about it.
  15. LOL, yeah, most likely. But still, a couple of years ago who would've ever thought a cf/ceramic bezel HBB would be possible...? Think we've seen some pretty amazing pieces the last year, so never say never!
  16. I'd really recommend putting some effort into getting one of the old (v1/OEM/Kyocera/gen/whatever) ceramic bezels. The quality really is night and day compared to the current offerings. Best way is probably by purchasing an old HBB from someone. I recently got ahold of a spare brushed bezel from Hont for $100 (he's the only one that's been able to supply one, most only have the polished for sale), and although it's quite OK, it's nowhere near the old one in terms of quality and finish - trust me. If I recall correctly the old ones sold for around $250, so that should give you an idea of the price. Cheers, pedro
  17. I'd say go with any trusted dealer, regardless of EU or not! I've had maaaaany watches sent here, from non-EU dealers and members, and I've never had any problems whatsoever. Cheers, Pedro
  18. Tuiga rules - lovely piece sql! Here's mine, with brushed bezel: Cheers Pedro
  19. Hope I'm not being rude - but with quartz and no AR, you're very far away from a piece that looks or feels anything remotely like the original. If I were you, I'd definately look into getting one of the more expensive versions, with automatic and AR. It's worth it, trust me! Cheers, pedro
