Got a 3777 that decided to die, couldn't find any warchsmith locally who was willing to work on reps.
Located in Vancouver, Canada.
Do we have any skilled watchsmith i can send my IWC to?
Also, I'm hesistant to buy a chronograph rep now die to how easily it died (my sub is running strong), is it just me or is it generally expected to happen?
Thanks in advance mates

Hi guys,
My month-old IWC 3777 needs some love.
Looks like its gears are broken, the date/day wheels weren't moving and stuck at a weird positon, then now the hour and minute hands aren't moving either.
I've tried to find a local watch smith who would/be able to fix this, haven't found any yet.
(Located in Vancouver, Canada)
Any advice? I've contacted the TD and it will be $90 + shipping from here to China.

same situation, same debate.
Got an unexpected bonus and a raise, can't decide if I should get a gen or a couple reps.
Leaning towards a gen though......unless my wife disagrees.

Nice holiday in Canada with $7 Tissot knockoff

great looking straps guys.
Thanks for the info. I contacted both, will go from there. (They both look beautiful so I cannot decide)
As for the clasp, I didn't think about it when I ordered it LOL
But looks like I'm gonna get another watch pretty soon, thanks to my bonus from work, so I can ask TD to send me one then.
off topic, I'm dying to own a 3714 but this sec@6 problem is killing me.....

Hello fellow IWC lovers,
I've been a Rolex guy, and recently I could not stop my lust on IWCs. (3714...3789...3777...you name it)
I could not help but to order a 3777, and it's on its way to me now.
It's coming with the rep leather strap, and I'd really love to get a pilot strap with deployment clasp.
Can you guys point me to the right person who would have these straps/clasp available?
Personal choice of vendor/strap also welcome, doesn't have to be pilot strap if you think it looks amazing on pilot.
Please help me out and let me show you a fresh 3777 with strap of your recommendation.
All the best,
C

@dram Yeah I'm actually still contemplating between stick hours and numbers....they're both nice. As to TDs, I have dealt with TrustyTime (Andrew) and it was amazing. I even ordered during Chinese new year and Andrew told me I had to wait till it's over cuz no one's working, then he somehow squeezed me into shipping and I got it too quick. Definitely recommend.

Also found this great posting from last year:

Thanks for the great input.
I'd agree that the best movement would be Gen Swiss ETA,
but the only way to achieve that is to buy a watch that Swiss ETA will fit in, and buy a movement separately, then swap it in.
I was more curious as to from the available options from TDs, which would be the best option to go with.
I guess I'll also need to hunt down a good watchsmith locally, to install Swiss ETA if I want to.

this is the one I'm thinking of getting....I feel it looks better than the stick dial.

Hm...Interesting points.....
My head hurts now....

this is my next watch to get what a beautiful watch.
I wouldn't dare to touch it when things like this happen though, not so mechanically inclined haha

No luck so far. Tried forums, watchsmiths registered on yelp, nothing.
