  1. Your ETA movement is self-winding. If you are moderately active during the day when you wear this watch, it will wind itself and never wind-down until it needs to be serviced, hopefully in 3 to 5 years.

If you were more of a desk-driver at work, and did not move very much, a self-winding watch would stop on it's own eventually ..

    and thank you

I got in touch with the mn guy

He was pretty fast on replying and stuff

    He charges also nominal

    So that's that

  4. Rolex was big into specialist tool watches at one time .. the Explorer for climbing mountains and polar expeditions .. the Explorer II for spelunkers (cave explorers) .. Sub for divers .. and the Milgauss for scientists.

Hey .. a note, here .. the Milgauss is rated for magnetic fields but do not put a modern rare earth magnet near it .. they are 10++ thousands of gauss .. well beyond even the gen's rating. Built to resist magnetic fields, and "magnet proof" are not the same thing.

    Agreed

    One more thing

I had one watch eta asian 2836 2

It does not stop its a milgauss

    I wear it all day

Keep it at night on a table .

    I get up wear it

Its been a week the watch has not stopped

Has it happened before to someone

I like nd of dont want to jinx it but I am feeling like million bucks to not have to keep the watch in winder

Or I am awaiting for a bigger problem here

Hands removing is a part of the "job" which can screw either the hands or the dial or both if not careful.

Look what I have seen some time ago on youtube*

This is how most watchmaker work, I´ve seen also some Japanese watchmaker working with this "banal sheet of nylon" on current Grand Seiko´s.

I personally place two sheets of these thin nylons over the dial, plus I cover all the tips of the hands remover (that may have direct contact with the hands) with small stripes of mask tape to be on the safer side.

Despite this one has to be always very careful as scratches can be done very easy.

You have done a splendid job on this build. Wear it often and in good health!

    Thank you for sharing :-)

I have seen watch smith just using a sharp clipper to remove the hands instead of real hands remover.

this rep hands are so weak, I used to have a set of hands that have some tape dirt on it.

I use a q tip lighty clean it. And it's. Scratched again.

gen hands use white gold, way stronger

by the way, I am struggling should I buy a tc v6 and sell this one. V6 have better crown guard.

just don't know if its wroth it. Since my watch is water proof very well. Tc is risk

    Thank you !!!!

  6. I had a DSSD with Swiss movement from Andrew which was almost perfect, the alignment of the text on the rehaut was not ok, some letters touched the edge of it, but besides this minor issue it was a very very good watch.

Now I have a BK DSSD which is in my opinion the best DSSD available. It looks great, but most important, it runs great. I was offered this one via a 'want to buy' request on RWI for a bit less then $400.

Can you please pist a few pictures
