  1. Amazed , quality, shine, the finish, it's just perfection.

Located inside is a ritzy shopping district that exhales big money. ( don't dare call it a mall)

I am in love with so many of these watches.  But the AP ROO collection is my favorite.

A skeleton (??) just took the gold medal.

Coming down and back to reality, I see a few of these watches on sale at various dealers.  Hope those are not rejects, or "outlet quality".

Just the dreaded A7750 engine that I am not comfortable with...yet.

I guess I will focus on the v7 Diver that has a more reliable engine.  But that ROO Navy is amazing.

Move over Hublot.  This is big time bling

  2. Burberry is an extremely overrated brand with mediocre quality. Prorsum saves a little bit of face.

In the US we have tons of sales , even at their outlets.

Websites like MyHabit.com or BelleandClive also have good deals when they have a flash sale. Burberry has twice a year online sale. Slickdeals tracks those pretty well

it is not that the replicas are made of bad quality. But the original is pure crap to begin with. Tag and nova check is all they have

  3. This is a good post for those of us who are still learning. I am considering a Miyota 8205 vs ETA 2824 Vs A2836

Omega PO. The price difference is probably 80-100$

I guess the ETA on reps is not as clear as it seems. The sellers pitch is quite good. And for newbies like me it sounds like the difference between a hyundai and a bmw

Hola I will wite in English and Spanish. I guess we all use English to understand each other.

I am not sure where you are, but in the US we have tons of sales of the real stuff, that there is no need to purchase cheap immitations. But if coming to the US during sale season

is not a possibility, then I recommend you check out certain forums like https://www.bloglovin.com/  http://reploversunited.com , or websites like yoox.com ( legit)

or even herein the mens sections.

    Cheers

  5. Thanks for the info.   I already dealt with PureTime(Angus) and have to say they were quick to ship and the watch I got looks very impressive to me ( I am not that educated as far as those  tiny details).  I took pictures of the real one, and checked it against it (the store display), and seems like it is very convincing.  I used a virtual card number ( citi ) for payment and it went very smoothly.   No paypal for me yet, maybe later when they know me a little bit more. Citi Virtual works just fine.

  6. Hi friends

From what I have read it seems that the factories are limited and basically most of the merchandise is supplied to the dealers upon availability. Service , availability and dedication is what makes the difference.

In the replica bag world we have a similar trusted dealer scenario however, there are dealers that sell the best materials, copy and stitching for certain brands. And top dealers who are ultra secret and sell the most coveted perfect replicas. In other words we have certain niches.

Is my understanding correct or Do we have dealers that specialize on certain type of replicas, quality?

And do you stick to the same dealer all things being equal?

  7. May I assume, you all have been avid collectors and have a good knowledge of the whole watch industry.

But I am so new, I see myself as the average consumer who thinks that all of the $$$ we pay

is mostly due to exclusivity and craftmanship.  I guess we the uneducated ones envision an experienced swiss watchmaker who has worked with delicacy and accuracy on our "precious aqcuisition"

    Dream on Louie..

Honestly, the last thing the average consumer imagines is that all those pricey watches are nothing but mass produced pieces with movements made by none other than  ....Swatch Co.!!    :protest:

True Luxury watches have now become fully, fully aspirationals from my point of view.

PS I just got my new PAMmie from PT, will review soon.

  8. As you can tell, I have a long way to go as far as watches and education.

To my dismay, and after chatting with a lovely ( and good looking rep of a well known brand), I was informed that Hublot, Breitling, Tag don't make their own machinery. They outsource this area to the Swatch team, that  basically mass produce them. Correct me if I am interpreting it incorrectly.

Quite honestly, I left so disappointed, and hope I am wrong.  However,  it looks like she is right, from what I have read.  What is the point of spending lots of money to get a semi-luxury watch?  I thought that the essence of a watchmaker was the machinery itself, even if this  was mass produced. At least it was designed and built in house.

I guess only  true luxury brands are the only ones that make their own stuff.  On the flip side, I feel much better and upbeat as a newbie in the replica world.   Maybe we are getting what we should be paying for, after all.

  9. Hi Thanks for the replies.  Very good insight, specially coming from top vip members.

I guess we see original prices a little bit different here in the US.  When I travel to Germany, I  gasp for air once I see what the Jewelers charge !

Usually  Armani or Hugo Boss watches are low end and cheap around here. Say ~200.00 USD

$400.00 is close to what one would pay for say a Ferragamo or Gucci ( not that I particularly care for any of these).

I'd rather pay 300.00 Usd+ for  a top Panerai replica, and hope to enjoy this copy for a few years or so, not as an investment but as a nice toy.

( Originals go for like 6k+, more or less in the US).

I just wanted to know if the watch experience is similar to  that of a decently manufactured watch.

As long as one takes care of it can last for a little while.

( not a beautifully designed unit that is expected to break down within a 3 or 6 month period). I think the general answer is now a yes. Correct me if I have the wrong assumption.

Finally I am very aware all watches break down sooner or later ( except a Puma I bought like 12 years ago, that keeps running despite all the punishment!).  I guess I will do more research into finding some decent machinery and a decent and discreet watchmaker that can service these.

Again many thanks for your opinions and time. I hope this is a topic that interests all of our new and freshmen members like me.

  10. Hi Friends,

One of the topics I have searched but have not been very succesful at finding has to do with long durability and integrity of the replicas.

Are the replicas, specially  automatic ones, working as expected after say 3, 6 ,12 months or so?

How about parts? do they break down a lot and/or are these easy to  purchase or replace?

I enjoy reading and looking at the pictures of some outstanding collections, but it would be kind of crappy to find out that 6 months later, the hot replica just became a "closet replica."

( I wouldn't care if it falls a few min behind after a week or so, after all it is not the original watch)

Is there  a poll section ( of actual  owners) which compilates durability, wearability (parts lose color, shine),  or integrity ( parts dont get loose, dont break)?

    Many thanks !

  11. This is the sole opinion of a newbie:  Panerai are just so common that pretty much, you assume, everyone is wearing a fake one.  Granted I am no expert so could not really tell.

I mean, I go to the mall and see kids wearing all kinds of models. Most of them bought thru iOffr or AliB and  paid close to $100.00.  Same goes for Louis Vuitton stuff or Hermes belts.

That is an area I know well,  Much easier to spot a fake one. And trust me, it is so interesting to see the (very privately) fake ones. Some bad copies out there.

I for one, am planning to buy a nice PAM replica.  Thinking about the 111 Noob v3 from PT or Toro.  Quite honestly, Jomashop has a sale right now, but I doubt I would ever pay 7k for a real one.  Gimme a Breitling or

Rolex instead. or a real Chopard GT Xl, that is a nice one.

Better replicas, plus cheaper prices and stronger US Dollar. I am very happ:clap2:

  12. That is a beautiful collection.   I come from the Bag, luxe item  Rpp world, I am sure wttchs are the compliment.

In the US,  gray market watches are way cheaper. (correct me if I am wrong).  Just got back from Germany and was horrified to see those prices over there.

So I am thinking of just focusing on those out of reach goodies that I will never be able to afford, unless I hit the jackpot.

    Thanks for sharing.

  13. Whoa so you mean to tell me the only prepaid card Paypal will accept is the one that they collect the fees on?

    Go figure....

    Ken

I buy with an airline CC.  Thus I redeem for  air/hotel miles which minimizes the fee.   When I buy ,I buy $500.00  ( more into bags and stuff, this is a new area for me). 500 miles for 3.95 is way less than  1c per mile , that basically swallows the fee.
