I have to admit, the darker dial makes the overall look much more appealing to me. I'm guessing that the odds of me bumping into someone who has even seen the GEN are pretty darn slim.......

This is my first AP purchase in a very long time. I jumped at it on Ryan's site as he offered it for well below what the other TD's are selling it for. I already reviewed the transaction in the TD section. I was nervous when ordering, as none of the TD's seem able to post up good pictures of this piece. Every TD site photo makes the piece out to be much lighter in color (dial and strap) than in real life. After looking at high quality photos of the GEN, I half expected to be disappointed with the REP. Well, I was pleasantly surprised to receive an absolute stunner of a rep. This thing is absolutely gorgeous. The strap and dial coloring are much more than I had hoped for. Fit and finish are as nice as any rep I have held in my hand. It's been on my wrist for all of an hour, so I can't comment on the movement, but it started up with a couple of swirls right out of the box. Here's on photo and I'll try to post a bunch more later. Now....... We'll see if I can get over the uneasy feeling of wearing a rep of a $45,000 watch!

Patience is the key to dealing with TD's. Ryan is well respected and will get back to you. Stay calm and give it some time.

It's quickly becoming clear that this is not the hobby for you. Everything is unacceptable. Your expectations of perfection on a $300 rep of a $4000 watch is unrealistic. Buy the gen and be happy.

Wore the SA Blacksteel today....... It's a great piece (MO of course!)....

I can't quite grasp why so many seem to have such a fascination with lume...... Other than my Luminox, none of my watches (gen or rep) glow brightly in the middle of the night. A few are somewhat readable (Omega PO's, Hublot 4000 King Diver), but none glow brightly for more than an hour or so after being in direct light.

$208 for a decent rep today is damned cheap! I have an AP schumi on the way that I laid out $700 for! Toro is one of the best. He has a much more select inventory than some of the other TD's, which allows him to focus on the better quality reps. True, he tends to be a man of few words. Communication is not he strength, but I have bought some 10 watches from him and every deal was smooth as silk. Buy from him without hesitation.......

Intriguing idea! I definitely want to learn more about it. While I have ZERO interest in owning a smartwatch, be it APPLE or any other brand, this might be a great alternative........

Gorgeous. The BB is really the only "smallish" watch in my collection that I enjoy wearing.

I see Angus has the Noob version listed, but his pictures are absolutely horrible. Do you have a link to somehwere that has photos of the Noob that would be more helpful to check out? P
