  1. This is actually the one that Connery wore in Dr. No... Unfortunately Silix's version not only has the depth in white, 200m does NOT equal 550ft. Also it has the numbers...not the dial markers as the one Connery wore. Kind of hard to justify spending so much on a bezel when the dial is so far off...
  2. Holy crap those inserts are way expensive...at that point it may be cheaper just to buy an MBW vintage.
  3. Can you share your source with me TeeJay? Thanks!
  4. Silix told me he would have pictures soon of the models they will have available.
  5. Thanks deltahoe.. Do I want the double [censored] type? Also, the 1.8mm I found are 22 7/8" long. Are those the right ones? http://www.julesborel.com/horological/page51.htm
  6. So which are the better choice spring bars? The 1.8mm or the 1.5mm? Also can somebody please supply a direct link of where to buy the correct spring bar? The ones Silix sent with my strap are cheap and bent very easily.
  7. Received my new UPO Swiss ETA from Ruby today. My first transaction with her and it went very well. Great communication, very fast delivery and an excellent price. Received it in about 5 days. She sent a pic prior to shipment as well. I was able to make sure there weren't any problems with the dial etc.. I received it on a SS bracelet, but had a Silix rubber strap I have been waiting to put on it
  8. Thats a great vintage...but I thought the 6538 is the Rolex that Connery wore in Dr. No?
  9. Count me in for sure on this one!
  10. Great looking watch. We can all be so lucky to receive one first try with no issues!
  11. The brushed SS deployant actually matches my Ti case pretty well.
  12. Please rate the dial, hands, logo, bezel, etc. on this Planet Ocean. Also please give your opinion in comparison to one of the 'ultimate' versions out there. Thanks!
  13. Seems to be running a touch fast as well. Picked up a full second in about 40 minutes.
  14. I'm having some trouble setting the time on my Noobmariner. If I pull the crown out to set time, then push it back in, it seems to get stuck in time set mode. Even if it is pushed in it will still move the hands. After a few tries pulling it in and out I can usually get it to go back to 'wind' mode and screw back onto the tube, but it is a pain trying to set the time to the second. Any ideas what it might be?
  15. I have got a Noobmariner LV. It's an incredible value for the quality of watch you get.
  16. Actually I believe this is where to download the optimized bundles: http://www.furbism.com/firefoxmac/whichbuildforme/ I just cannot view the page here at work.
  17. I say forget about Safari and get a version of Firefox that has been optimized for your processor. Makes a world of difference. I don't have the link to where I download the optimized bundles here at work, but I will post it when I get home.
  18. I have a pretty cheap Sub rep that I am making small improvements to. I was using a Scotch bright on the bracelet this weekend because the band was very shiny and did not resemble SS at all. I cannot find any pictures that show me for sure if the case on a gen Submariner is polished to a reflective finish or if it has a dull SS finish to it? Or are there different finishes on different parts? Like side of the crown guards is polished, but the top is dull... Thanks!
