  1. TB is listed. Look his pinned post with new URL into his section.
  2. Is it only me thinking that it's strange to have all these people with less then 10 posts here to confirm the quality of not trusted dealers??
  3. How does it work? Is it a kind of paste that sticks to the back?
  4. Not sure what you mean by "decent". And as I wrote in a recent thread in the proper Rolex area, it's pretty messy to get how the rep should looks like as there's plenty of models and some of them are fully fantasy ones. I would say: stick on a single color one (no gold+steel etc) and try to give a look to the big guys here (the dealer is trusted and I've already had a good purchase with him); Here is the 36/37mm ones: http://www.ttw888.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=1_12&sort=3d&page=1 Here the II with 41mm ones: http://www.ttw888.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=1_294&page=1&sort=3d they're already ordered from the most to the least expensive, go on with the pages until you find what you like (the first apparently have "real diamonds" therefore are damn expensive...) PS: I'd not go below 250US$ for a good one. Cheers, GenTLe
  5. So it is exactly the reasons I was thinking about: newbies influenced by comments of the others and creating problems to the dealer. Ok ok, orange. Not that it's so far from red anyway...
  6. Just by curiosity, which watch was that?
  7. Ken, just an idea: if your customs aren't only from forums like this (you shouldn't had a lot of problems if so), why don't you just try to change web site graphic and/or name, adverting that in the forum you participate and become a new entry able to catch new people? I currently think that your problems are not only related to payment methods anyway: here in Eu the crisis is strong (except maybe Germany, that will go into ruins too if they will not stop to press to starvation all the others): Italy was one of the "big seven" and now, because of corruption (at any level), contingency, growing power of countries like yours and lower job cost abroad we are in troubles. Let's say that if during the sixties we were surfing over gold lakes, in the eighties we thought we were rich and all was achievable, in the 1st decade of 2000 we went down on the knees in that lake that from gold became sh_t, and now we are diving (with no oxygen tank) into that sh_t. Therefore more and more people spare their money because one day you have a job and the day later you're at home (and you'll stay there for 1, 2 years because simply there is NO job at all). Not to add that here there is a lot of diffidence for "Made in china": Italy is very famous for quality and design (food/wine/clothes/leather) and we have strict laws checking that. We quite often hear about toxic pigments used into clothes coming from the "far east", and that's for legal productions. You may imagine what are the thoughts about counterfeited products... Said that, again I hope you to get better and can move out of this moment :-) Ciao, GenTLe
  8. Ok, so after I spent some hours digging around the web, I found these 3 that are pretty good and based on real models (checked with gen picures). These damn DayDate II have been done in bloody dozens of models, with tiny particular differences (i.e. hands in blue/silver or "swiss made" around or below the 6/VI), and on the rep site it's also plenty of funny mixtures... A real mess to get gen-like ones!!!!! The final list (only considering Roman numbers!) are: I'm seriously tempted by the yellow gold one: probably I'll wear it really really really rarely (also because wearing such object can be a life threat, if you end-up in the wrong quartier!), but since I don't go mad for Rolex, why not? ;-) Otherwise the bluish one with silver hands and numbers, which is more daily usable :-) Any advice on Asian Clone of Rolex 3156?? Tnx, GenTLe
  9. I go for watches that I like. And 90% of the time they're reps because I simply can't afford a gen one (except for the ones around the price of a rep, like the Junkers 6060-5) Actually, if I was plenty of good money, then probably I'd have spent them in something like this: And this: Uh, I was nearly forgetting... And definitively this too:
  10. APNoob, if I got it right it should be this one: http://replicaplaza.net/ Unfortunately for me the only appealing things are the cufflinks (as I don't really care much about branded clothes) but I've used them maybe twice in my life... If I'll (ever) become a manager, then I'll be your customer, Ken
  11. Correct... It may become my very 1st flashing gold one... Not to be used when going in the downtown... :-D
  12. Very very nice. I may have seen the m2m transaction, if you've done it here (is it the Zigmeister serviced one?) reading the past messages. I'm not that much in favor of the plated ones, not because I don't like them, but because I'm a bit worried of the wearing... What's your experience with it?
  13. Thanks Prancuzas, I'm pre-allerting my TD :-) Now I'm waiting for an Omega and a Cartier so let's wait a bit, but for sure it will be mine :-)
  14. It's from Andrew, ttw888.com But I believe that you elected TD can have it too :-)
  15. The gen & rep backs: Seconds' hand is metal in both gen&ori A closer look to the "A." of the rep, not painted but applied and shiny chromed: I've noticed the bold brand fonts, but I can survive it :-) Cheers!
  16. Bottom, "censored" or even "very much censored" are all fine, I understand :-D I'd say that, 1st of all, you should understand if you have a static broadband IP. It's very unlike unless you run some server and you pay for the static public IP... A fast way to know about that is to go on this site http://www.whatismyip.com/ and write down that set of numbers that follow "Your IP:" (yes, that one is the IP address, like "Social Security Number", you're using, in that precise moment, to go over the web. Normally the home connections don't have static IP, but they are given from a provider DHCP server that gives you a random address, in a set they own, so that your one can be reused for someone else when you're not connected) After you wrote down that IP, then switch off the router/modem, restart it, reconnect and go for a new visit to that site (remember to refresh the page if you didn't close the internet browser from the 1st annotation). If the IP is the same then again switch the router/modem again and go to sleep and test again with the IP the provider gives you the morning after. If again it's the same than you most probably have a static public IP that could be blacklisted. I'm pretty sure the problem is somewhere else anyway. And since you write about an iPad, so you may have an Apple computer and, again, it's pretty uncommon you get attached by a virus (even if their number are grown, they are still very very few compared to the ones developed for Microsoft OS-based devices). Try to see if you have same problem using different internet browsers, for example install Firefox and Chrome and try from both of them (they are available for Mac and PC). If the problem is not present anymore, then it's a matter of some s_it that is related to the main browser. So you can just cleanup the browser chronology/cookies/temporary files and retry... Or use the other browser :-) I'm not in the user-PC too from a while, but still I'm in the IT (infrastructure&network&servers) so I hope I have gave you some good starting point Ciao, GenTLe PS: SMTP (simple mail transfer protocol) server is a software that act as mail sender/forwarder, and it can be extremely tiny, so tiny that it could fit into a virus and even make your computer to become a so called "open relay" (that's the best way to be blacklisted). An open relay can be used, from anyone that can reach it, to send mails to anyone else (spammers normally use open relays to send their trash around the world, that's the reason they're blacklisted).
  17. Give a look here: http://www.torobravos2014.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=24_47&product_id=975 Or here: http://www.ttw888.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=104
  18. IWC Pilot St. Exupery chrono, brown dial special edition 2006. It may be an old model but I'm not that kind of guy that runs behind the latest new models, providing old models are appealing. It has seconds @9 so it shouldn't have the well known problems of the Portuguese with secs @6. Moreover I simply LOVE its look It's a 42mm, not a "beast" like the 47 big pilot, and for me it's the perfect measure as I'm not a fan of the oversized watches. Did you know about this model, also compared to the rep (2nd picture)? It looks pretty much ok to me (the rep looks darker but it's normal with that poor light)....
  19. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ktvTqknDobU Take care...
  20. Try to check if that IP has been blacklisted here: http://whatismyipaddress.com/blacklist-check or http://mxtoolbox.com/blacklists.aspx I result listed in 4x servers, but as I'm on DHCP my address changes on any connection so I don't mind. Normally you finish in one of them in case you PC sent spam (i.e. a virus with an SMTP engine inside) or similar. Regards, GenTLe
  21. Clear, thanks! Still not used to all these acronyms .-) And the factories that gave you wrong calibers are..... ? ;-)
  22. LOL!!! :-D Ehy, I'm envying your watch case! Where did you manage to get it? Veeeeery nice one!!! PS;: are them reps or gens? In the second case I'm also envying your bank account .-ppp Ciao, GenTLe
  23. Ahahah Dusk, I was doing the same thinking just 2 days ago Give a look here: http://www.rwgforum.net/topic/170565-sector-crapware-meditation/
  24. Slowly building my collection, and I think a Rolex can't miss... Unfortunately I'm really in troubles to get a Rolex that I like :-// The sub/yatch/sea/daytona/GMT ones are too "showing off" for my style, and I'm also waiting an Omega POLM that has a kind of same style. The Cellini are only quartz or "el cheapo"... Explorer I and Milgauss are like the watch my father was wearing before passing over (so before 1985) = they look "old" to me Airking is not that bad, but the dial is too messy for me DateJust are more near to my style but again they don't catch me Sky-Dweller is nice, but the rep are bad as they can't run the original functions Basically the only one that could potentially fit my taste is the DayDate II, but still I'me getting overconfused by the amount of different models around witch I can get if they are from fantasy or not... This is my preferred one: http://www.ttw888.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_232&products_id=5284 Comparing the QC pictures doesn't look bad: Gen - Rep But, first of all: is it realistic or fantasy? What do you think about it? I've seen the "swiss made" like on the rep and like on the gen around, does it exists with both versions or the one with the "SWISS VI MADE" like in the rep is pure fantasy? And in the end: this one is from 2009 (in the rep site): just wondering if the ETA is still a real ETA (=watch built in 2009 when still ETA was selling to 3rd parties) or if the Asian clone is recent as in 2009 I'm not sure how good they were... Or, if the watch is made on demand and so now and therefore better an asian clone... Finally, playing around Rolex watches, I've given a look also to Tudor which, if I got it right, are just kind of Rolex with standard ETA movement, and I get the gen that I'd REALLY like to find as rep and, unfortunately, looks like not yet available: Tudor Heritage Ranger Love the second strap...
