  1. And looking at the rep in detail, there are quite some flaws. - the gen is no sandwich dial, but more deeply recessed engravings which are being filled with lume - the engravings are not that pointy towards the center of the dial - the font is different (on the bezel as well as on the dial) - it is more delicate but anyway, for a first it ain't that bad.
  2. Hey there, Yeah I know, nearly every TD is selling a 2500 version, but what I'd like to know: Are they worth any money? Since I have good experience with Puretime, ideally I'd like to order there. Br,
  3. Hey guys, I'm looking at pulling the trigger at a 42mm PO. Now there are basically two versions out there, the one with the 8500 movement and the other (older) one with the 2500 movement (movement replicas of course). So the main difference, and the main reason why I'm looking at the 2500 mvt version, is that the 8500 has a thickness of about 16,5mm and the 2500 has a thickness of around 14mm. For my taste the 16,5mm look way off at the small version (in 45mm it's ok). So is there any good replica with the 2500 mvt? another option would be the Liquid metal version, but overall it's too shiny for my taste. Thanks & regards
  4. Since I spontaneously fell in love with this watch: I was wondering if there is a rep of this beauty out in the wild? Regards,
  5. Well.. they probably thought that this a rare watch, thus they created Emirares. Btw. just spotted another one: The bezel inlay is badly aligned with the bezel (in the gen the numbers are aligned with the teeth in the bezel, in the rep it's quite random).
  6. Fair enough. btw. they spelled "Emirates" wrong - "Emirares" (engraving at the backside).
  7. Except wrong fonts being used throughout the Dial (and the ring with the numbers around the dial is too thin).
  8. Before thinking about the watch you should be thinking about getting a real coffee machine. I'd give the pepsi a shot.
  9. Hey guys'n girls, I'm owning a gen 1887 and been looking at some rep 1887 (also as daily beater on occasios when I don' know where I might end up ). So generally, I prefer dark dials and SS bracelets. So I stumbled on those two models (well.. they seem to be the same, so only two TDs) http://www.torobravos2014.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=76_116_165&product_id=868 http://www.puretime-asia.com/product/carrera-cal1887-chronograph-ss-black-dial-on-ss-bracelet-a7750/ At first glance they look quite good to me - of course, the movement ain't gen (also visually) - only some minor flaws, like the alignment of rehaut and indices on the dial (could be hopefully corrected during QA pic pphase) and I'm not sure if the pushers are slighty different. Or a quarz version: http://thewatchmaker1.weebly.com/tag-heuer.html%C2'> (does anyone know this dealer)? Any comments on this particular watch? Thanks & regards
  10. beautiful - too bad that it would be too big for my wrist. :/
  11. On my 15k Gauss, i don't have any issues reading it. Black on white is just easier to read if you are reading a lot of text (that's why most pages are black on white), but white on black provides more contrast - ideal for eyecatchers. http://uxmovement.com/content/when-to-use-white-text-on-a-dark-background/ Trust me I'm an expert.
  12. Only thing that would annoy me is the white date wheel, but other than that, nice one!
