  7. oh word.... dremels high speed cutting bits are great..... the tiny one is perfect for just cutting the inside of the crown guards.
  8. stephane - i mean take a drill bit and put it into the bracelet where the spring bar would go..... I've photoshopped what i think would work..... *note I haven't done this YET, but it makes sense to me.... anyone else wanna chime in?
  9. i'm thinking enlarging the holes might be a better option..... less chance of seeing it from the outside
  10. great review.....so i assume the spring bars need to be bent?
  11. what is the size of the tap for the tube on these models? i assume its the same 3mm tap for modern subs?
  12. ok what i'm curious about is how these "vintage" dials get so beat up over the 40 years or so....they are INSIDE the watch case.... anyone care to explain? lol
  13. yes, it would but that would make it inacurate as the dial and hands are not the same on the black sub just an fyi
  14. wait. a gen bezel can be fitted to a mbw? does it only apply to vintages? or can this be done on the modern one too
  15. no, use a 11/64" drill bit to counter sink i went too far down thou. "drill very gradually, until the cut approached the outer edge of the case...then stop. Also, make sure that your bit stays centered in the hole. Good luck."
  16. to remove the stock tube i used a 5/64 hex screw driver and just pushed in it so it would grab it and it twisted right out... i have heard of people saying its glued so you results may be different then mine...
  17. ^ ok cool...how does one go about getting the crown to fit up against the case then?
