  1. Thanks Gents; In some photos the lume marker on the LV second hand looked oversized but in one Black/LV side by side they looked the same. Can anyone who has both watches say for sure?
  2. Can anyone tell me if the Noob LV second hand has an oversized lume marker on it? I know that the minute hand is "fat" and all the hour markers are Maxi, but does the second hand also have an oversized dot or is it the same exact hand on the standard black 16610? Thanks VT
  3. Thanks Lonnie; I was using the "Search" link in the tool bar above. I'll look in Knowledge Base some more. Best, VT
  4. Not able to photo and load....sorry Anyhow, it's an Asian off the streets of Malaysia. Not even a red gear Asian. The markers are Maxi. I just was looking for a tutorial on how to release the stem and remove pin. What is found interesting was that the silver marker holder has a tiny dimple protruding upward in the middle where the white marker should be. Looks like the marker may be held in place without glue? I know I'll have to glue it back down, just wanted a good common glue found in U.S. I'm sure this has been asked before, I just couldn't find the tutorial via key word search. Appreciate any help!
  5. The 10:00 hour marker fell off my 16610 Asian Sub and is merrily rolling around. I could not find a "how to" on reattaching the marker for a Sub. I tried the search but I'm not doing something correct obviously. My main concerns are: Do I need to let the watch wind down and stop before disassembling? Do I have to glue the marker as it looks like there is a outward dimple on the 10:00 marker where the lume dot pops in? If I need to glue, what type glue is best? I read bad things about Super Glue fumes Anyone that knows of a tutorial on this process would be of GREAT assistance to me. Thanks!
  6. e-mail sent regarding my 075, aka LV, order placed on July 9 and paid via Moneygram in response to your sale advertised on RWI at the end of June. You need to take some time relax and come back refreshed.
  7. I used some tape to unscrew the back off my Pepsi GMT II and when the caseback came off it had 16610 stamped on the inside. Does this mean my GMT II is actually inside a sub case, or are they interchangable?
  8. I went to Billy who is located just past the intersection along Petaling past 5:00 pm. He occupies one booth ? from opening until 5:00 pm and then moves to another booth facing THE ONLY Dollar Toy Store located on the first floor of one of the buildings about 100 yards past the intersection. If you are walking into the market from the Metro, stop in the intersection and make a right at that hot, stinking kettle of chestnuts churning away Billy is located on the right (middle aisle) about a 100 yards down facing that very large dollar toy store. You know you're getting close when you pass the guy selling Mont Blanc pens sets in the box. If you walk in from the Metro and do not turn at but walk through the intersection, there are a couple guys tucked away 20 yards on the right who were VERY stingy with their high end inventory and have very high prices. They have a whole little watch building table set up with lots of tools. Interestingly; they were THE only guys that let me walk away without chasing me down.... Remember, supposedly there are only 3 suppliers for all these guys in China Town. I like Billy because after talking to him for a few minutes he realized I knew more that 90% of his typical customers, I was there to buy, and I didn't want to play "catch me if you can" with the junk 90% of the other guys try. With a quick call on his cell phone he produced some very nice watches. Tell him that the guy "with the face of Nicholas Cage", but more hair, sent you to him
  9. I bout myself a SS Submariner, a Pepsi GMT II, my wife a Cartier Tank, my Dad a SS Sub (average qlty), and a buddy a black bezel Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean with nice blk rubber strap. As I mentioned before, make sure the guys selling have a little work station set up near-by...these are the resident "pros" who know that you are serious and want to cut through the junk and B.S. I got the Tank and Seamaster both for $75.00 U.S. combined but only after I bought the SS Sub $75, GMT II $75, and brought some co-workers with me. The SS Sub I bought on my first day was $25 U.S. very nice bezel, average bracelet, but I missed the tiny "18k" stamped on the back of the SS watch case (oops). Lots of Omegas and PAMs of course....not so sure about Hublot. Have fun....I sure did. I really liked KL and would go back again.
  10. Sonic: I was just there last month for a week and hit the night market several times. True, customs did raid it on 5/23 while I was there. All the high qlty counterfeit merchandise went flying down the alleys (including watches) but I gathered this was a regular occurance due to the fact all the vendors had motorola police scanners in their hands. All the low quality replica watches actually stayed on display while they hurried the high end stuff off the street for the night. Shows how poor quality those watches were! In sum; there are SO many replica watch dealers on that block it probably comprises 25% of all merchandise sold there, no way could it be shut down. I bought a few reps and got to know a couple vendors. I was told there are only 3 suppliers of watches for that market and I'd guess close to 30 watch booths, so hopping from booth to booth is pretty much a waste because odds are it's all the same $hit. My advise is to pick the vendors that will pop the back off the watch and show you the motor, these are the guys that now their stuff and actually have the higher quality inventory available. I swear most of the booths have NO idea about any watches, they're just tending the shop. Bottom line, you know you're getting somewhere when they have to disappear for a few minutes to go get what you want (one at a time) and then they act like they're carrying a grenade that's getting ready to go off (because they're afraid customs is around the corner). They want you to pay for it and get lost of give it back and be on your way. I actually think that knowing TOO much about the watches makes them nervous to bring out the good stuff because they think you work for R0lex I had guys try and sell me their best stuff for 650 ringitts (3.3:$1) but you shouldn't spend more than $75 U.S. per watch if you get two at once. Good luck and have fun!!!
