  1. Happy Birthday tick-tock!

  2. FWIW, I have been sourcing bezel inserts for 2 (latest version) of the BK/(TC) 16610 which are in build right now. First thing I learned is that the "40" on the dial is not much help unless it is sloppy. Next thing is that there are at least 3, and maybe 4, different "40"s for the 14060 and the 16610 cases.. One is "thin" and goes to a point (inside the 4) with a tiny bit of flatenning at the top of the 4. ex: http://tinyurl.com/lwak56q One is semi"fat" and flatens off slightly in, and at the top of the 4 Then there is a "fat" one which really flattens off at the top of the 4 (Like your example). in a 16610, it can flatten big at the top, but still be "thin" ex http://tinyurl.com/p5obyyl As pointed out, for the case build accessories ie Crystal, bezel/insert kit, bracelet.... you need 16610 components or ones that fall under the 16800 (not 1680) broader classification group. The hands' spec is driven by the movement, Calbre or ETA, or Asian etc That "40" was making me crazy while I was looking. IMHO, the pearl in the insert is a clue for gen, but I think vetting the reliability/reputation of the seller is prolly the best thing we can do. Again from my search and IMHO2, the14060 parts are slighly less costly than the 16610 parts, with the 5XXX series of cases more costly of the 3 cases-build.
  3. 9 people are "watching" this beauty, and 15 more are viewing it every hour. And this guy has never sold anything on ebay before (all buys). I'd say he found it in a trashcan on Canal Street in NYC, A real $99 special. Except he lives in Federal Way, WA.. There's only two things where he lives .. rain and trees. I can understand his desperation to raise cash so he can get out of there. Two guys should bid on it. one at $4,975. Then the other follow with $5,000. One of 2 things will happen... 1) He'll go psycho-happy for the next 6 1/2 days thinking he is about to hit a small lottery. Of course, by the time this is over, nobody will have to pay him $ .05 2) He'll really crep himself. Even he had to know that watch might be the biggest piece of junk to every grace the Rolex Submariner section of ebay. ..Ever... So he specifially chose to "only" screw somebody for $599-$1600. That was his comfort zone, so to speak. Now, he will be screwing somebody for $5,000. That's fraud on the Grand-Theft Auto level. For 6 1/2 days he won't know of which he is more afraid...not getting paid, ..or getting paid. No matter how this unwinds, he will be held acountable for his mistake..... ... thinking that everybody is as stupid, as he actually is..
