  1. whatsup jockl

i think lello has been out of business long enough - or in other words - you should release the scan!

after all, we're in a rep forum, and of course reps can be repped as well - just my opinion!

    simzger

Relax, things are already proceeding... just wait for the result!

  2. Just wondering what is the oppinion on this watch from the hardcore paneristis?

This "One time in the world watch" could also be phrased as: fake case/fake hands/cannibalised movement :black_eye:

Although with his reputation he can pull off something like that, seems like a cool guy...

But I am just playing the "advocatus diaboli". Would buy it at an instant if I had more playing money

  3. I also wanted to make a swiss ETA 3706 franken.

Bought a gen IWC 3706 (just to get the extra old "T swiss T" dial and hands that came with it :bangin: ) and also a rep 3706.

But as said here before - had to realise the rep dial is about 1mm larger than the gen, so the gen wont fit into.

This will require some sort of spacer ring to produce the conical rehaut of the gen.

Sold the gen for a Tudor 79280 chrono - the "Poor Mans Daytona".

But if someone is still looking for a new 3706 rep with the rare white subdial hands just mail me...

  4. Narikaa has (at least had two month ago) an Explorer I with 21j Asian for the correct beat, lugholes and plexy. The lugholes are only drilled half ways from the outside though, I am going to change this the next week. For the dial ageing, I used the the oven method; 250 degrees celcius - the dial took only some minutes, the hands an eternity, seems they don

  5. Great watch!

Me too, at first I thought I would never buy a Rolex due to the stereotypes you always encounter - watch constructed to simple, bracelet clumsy, only for show offs and pimps etc.

After trying the first one (Noob LV) I got hooked and now two years passed and after 4 Rolex reps I am thinking about to buy a genuine... they are iconic!

  6. As the Mark XVI thread has reached 20 pages I wonder if there is an equal demand for a rep of one of the finest aviation watches - the IWC Mark XI with cal. 89 built for the RAF (British Royal Air Force) and others mainly during the 40s and 50s. As its only 36mm in diameter its rather small compared to the contemporary 45 to 50 diameter watches, but I expect the trend to bigger watches to fade in some years.

For replication it should be "rather" easy, compared to the nowadays multi complication watches with ceramic case on double saphire AR and DLC coating on Titanium blabla...

A simple, yet intriguing dial, nice case with fixed lugs, no crownguards, plexiglas and a low beat handwind should pose no problems - Eddie Plats has the Precista Speedbird, which is a nice hommage but not the real deal in the end.

So whats your oppinion on this one?

    For those who don
