  1. Thanks, the bezel is a Nightwatch bezel on Silix case.
  2. Hey Guys, Had some time to sneak in some pictures of my RADI's, 2 vintage and a PAM 210. A true modem burner, hope you enjoy them... Thanks for looking.........
  3. There seems to be some interest on PreV builds now a days with Rolli's new dials so, I have decided to take on a couple of PreV builds on. I have been putting in some time on PreV engravings on the movement. I know they are closed case watches, but I have been told by several members who want the movement to match the watch even if it is not seen. Below is the prototype engravings, the text spacing is way off the letters are too close to each other. I have already adjusted the spacing for the next test and it seems the position is not that off, and the text size is also needs some minor adjustments. The CDG is not running in the right direction on these bridges and the engravings are not as crisp, but that won't be the case on the final movement. Remember this is just the first of many before it is ready for prime time.... Here is the gen for reference The movement will be a fully modded all Asian movement with proper ETA markings You can see the letters are just bunched up, unexceptionable! That said the fonts are correct and the positioning and size are about right, might need minor tweaking on the size of the "ADJUSTED FOUR POSITION 3126" I feel they need to be a little bigger. Thanks for looking and more to come, and as always feedback is welcomed.......... And a PS to my friend WoLF it is going to be a 036, I'll be working on the case very soon, FINALLY :-)............
  4. Looks like it is running a 6497 with glued on plates. Is it just me or has anyone wondered what to do when these plated movements need to be repaired or serviced? Will it be easy to remove them or will they be damaged when removing them making the movement useless? The simple plates on the 375 are easy enough to remove and glue back, but they are not nearly as elaborate as these newer ones. Just thinking out loud.....
  5. I think it is best we wait for the next versions to come out this is only their first attempt. Besides even if you were to correct the jewels which by itself is quite the job, there are still a few tells that scream REP staring with the gears and ending with the stepped balance pedestal on the main plate. As I've said before it is a very good start and with some machining, bigger jewels and geartran configuration changes if they wanted to they could get this movement vary vary close. Now it is just a matter of whether they want to or not, plus remember in order to justify the cost of R&D and the cost to produce these things the factories have to order large quantities so no one knows how many of these movements have been produced and I can guarantee you they will not just throw them away. This is a money game so it might be a while before we see ant changes done to this, hope I am wrong. I've always been one to wonder why they don't put out the prototypes to the people in the know it the rep community before they just flood the market with the things they think everyone will buy and have such obvious flaws. That said I am sure they are flying off the shelf. Rolexman the time keeping characteristics are not the best, there is a reason the gen has a different and almost opposed gear train configuration, that is most likely were smooth and consistent transfer on power is lost as it makes its way to the escapement. The other problem is not every rep owner can adjust their watch nor should they and definitely not all have a timegrapher. This needs further looking into once it reaches the general rep population we will know what the real deal is and how bad the time keeping characteristics of the movement is. Thanks and great write up, keep up the good work!!!!!
  6. That timegrapher comes with 52 degrees as the default and must be adjusted, I would assume that as the high beat 6497-2 which beats the same as this movement at 21600vph it should also use a 44 degree setting, but can't be sure as this is an in house movement and there are no specs on it yet.
  7. Man they are so close, a few modifications and adjustments to the gear train and the main plate and they would be right on..... I wonder if they did this intentionally so as not to copy the inner workings of the gen? Sooooo close......
  8. Here is the finished watch, the buyer requested custom engravings on the case back and very little ageing. And yes it is a closed case watch, but when the buyer saw the movement he has now changed his mind.
  9. Hi guys, Please give me your thought on this, I am thinking of coming up with a custom vintage line of watches with different variants this movement in them. This is a true homage to the old with a new twist Your thoughts are important so please don't hesitate to voice the good or the bad, it is all counts....
  10. Yes it is a River case with both display and solid case back The vintage Panerai used Rolex movements
  11. A note to the OP, I now have a policy of serving established forum members who participate in our hobby. Unfortunately many TDs, SV and modders including myself have had issues with newer members. As a result I have implemented a policy that new members must meet one of the following criteria, have at least 30 posts, be established members of other flora(rep or gen) or have at least 3 positive feedbacks. Nothing against new members we were all new once, but this gives them a little time to do their homework before making an impulse buy and obtain some knowledge about what they are getting. Thanks A!!! Thanks M!!! You are correct the list is getting longer and longer and like everyone else I am waiting in frustration......When they finally show up all hell is going to break loose..... Triple Huh???? I sell worldwide, many to Asia, but no one in China has ever bought from me, closets is Hong Kong.
  12. With very accurate CAD drawings easy, without not so much, believe me the thought has crossed my mind..
  13. I an going to mod the 399 but not this model, I will mod the one with the Minerva clone movement, this has the decorative plates movement which is wrong for the 399. It's a beuatiful watch and I am very excited to work on a new variant of the 6497!!
  14. Thanks, look closer, look at 4:47 and see if you can see the hand burn on the dial, That's what happens to a dial when the hands haven't moved in a long time.
  15. Hi tommylynn, You are a little to new to the forum and had no posts when you PMed me. I've had a couple of PMs from brand new members with zero posts to their names, I only work with members who have an established history on the forums and have at least 20 posts under their belt. This gives the member a little time to do their homework and research before they go off and buy their first watch. I hope you understand.... Hey M, Thanks for the PR it is greatly appreciated, enjoy your watch and wear it in good health.... BTW great pictures for a cheap compact ;-) Hey C, A little tease for you, here is your dial for the 6154
  16. Just finished the Type C Xa Mas No. 032 here are some pictures. A lot of custom work went it this watch, but it was all well worth it! It leaves for its new home in Canada in a few days. Thanks for looking......
  17. Just finished a custom build for a fellow member I like to call it Black Ops. Its a PAM 375N with one of my modded All Asian OPXI movements, it looks very unique. And although Panerai never used this movement on the 375 it could be that a Panerai fan could have consigned Panerai to build them this, a little mix of old and new. Here are some pictures.. Here is my All Asian modded movement with the ETA markings.. Thanks for looking......
  18. Yes I did all the engraving work on the movement, PM me and I'll give you some information. You can not exchange the Cortebert bridges with the 3602/
  19. I have some available now: Please PM me for info.
  20. I just upgraded the bridges on the 3646 build.
  21. SWEET!! Yours has the proper sized dial and hands, nice....
