  1. Well, since there doesn't seem to be a ST3135 in sight, I'm ordering a TC case and bezel set and shipping to jmb to have it drilled. I'd like this completed by Christmas, but it'll be cutting it close with shipping times and dependent upon how much work jmb has in front of mine. I have all my tools laid out, my Clark odds and ends (stem, gasket, etc) will be here tomorrow, and my y3135, dial, hands, crystal, crown, and tube just sort all lonely in their cases on the desk in the office. Soon, my friends.
  2. Cripes. I'm having a hard time sourcing bits for an 89 16610. I can't imagine sourcing (or the associated price tags) of that. Absolutely beautiful.
  3. Yup. An if you do need interchangable lenses, the X-E2 is no slouch.
  4. Fuji has really developed a niche for themselves. Nearly every pro photographer I know has some newer fuji as a carry camera.
  5. I know patience is the key in this hobby, but damn I'm antsy to find a case. I think I'm going to get a modern date disc so I can begin assembly but keep looking for an open 6/9. It's torture having all these parts lying around and nothing I can do with them. I feel like a kid before Christmas that found where his folks hid the toys. All I can do is look at them in their packages.
  6. I'm not sure I entirely agree with that given Thomas' newest iteration. It would suit most people's needs.
  7. Caddell is kind of a beveled insert. It looks cool, but it's not meant to emulate anything Rolex does. Kind of like the red second hand. It's a cool mod, and gives it a unique look, but it's his - hence the name.
  8. Its gorgeous. Is it wrong that I'm drooling equally over the crystal alignment tool?
  9. TC, I believe, builds to order. I think some people see up to three months after ordering. Not sure if that's regular. Red second hand is a custom option.
  10. Bummer. Really appreciate the effort, though. Really above and beyond. I'll keep you guys posted in my search for the date disc and case set.
  11. Ah, dang. Missed where you said that. On my phone at work. Thanks a ton! I really appreciate the help!
  12. Weird. I only saw one post from someone named Rob that said he had one. No contact info was left. The post was from August. I'll have to search again tonight.
  13. Found the thread, but looks like the guy wasn't registered. Not sure if my reply actually went through. That site is painful to look at.
  14. Well, slight step back. Just got the crystal I bought on eBay. It looks like it may be a 25-127. Any way to authenticate them? I'm thinking it'll just be easier to send it back. FYI, there were no profile shots and the seller "guaranteed" it was a 25-295 for a 16610.
  15. I'll give that a shot. Thanks! If my search turns futile, I'll reach out to you on your dw.
  16. Ah, damn. That's the exact dw I need. I'll keep an eye out on the Rolex forums. It's a gorgeous build, btw. Glad you posted it. Makes meierotivated to finish.
  17. That's good to hear. I already have a gen 295 on the way, so won't need the crystal. I just need to actually hunt the case down. I still need to buy a snowblower, too. Too many expenses.
  18. He's selling a ST3035. Won't work with y3135 without modifications.
  19. Yeah, that's a good idea. I'll have to do that once I recover from the movement purchase. I wasn't expecting to be buying it now, but couldn't rationalize turning it down since it is exactly where I'd end up down the road. This just saves time and a bunch on shipping it all over to have it serviced and modded. Now to try to find a 3135 date wheel with open 6 & 9.
  20. Well, I took up an offer for a y3135, so I guess my decision has been made. Now to determine if I go with a TC and send off for lug drilling or try to find a ST3135 case set.
  21. If I was starting out with nothing and didnt want to actually build something, that'd be the route I went. As I stated, I already have all gen dial, hands, crystal, insert, crown, and tube. I guess I need to determine if I'm going to call this a 16800 or a 16610. Sounds like I could really go either way, but the 16800 would be more difficult.
