  1. Without investing in proper oils, tools and a timing machine my guess is that this watch will never come back to life. Without some basic tools and knowledge about regulation it is sheer impossible to get it running accurate and stable. Sure with some luck you get it ticking. But there's more to it than that. It's a time keeper after all None the less a great practice!
  2. The clutch mechanism is probably FUBAR. Nothing you can do but source a new crown. A genuine crown won't fit the rep tube by the way. Just so you know.
  3. Yup. Most definitely. It will cause problems in the future if it is in there..... If you need a new one shoot me a PM. I'll send you one.
  4. Although I have a lot of experience in servicing movements. I'm relatively new to the Seagull ST19. I did service a lot of 7734s and other manual wind chrono's but today I did my first ST19. The thing I noticed was that there is no way to adjust the hammer reset. After resetting, the chrono second wheel has a tiny amount of play. Where the 7750 has a self levelling hammer and the old 7734s have a adjustment screw the ST19 has nothing. So it seems. Am I missing something? Mark
  5. Gre That's the one I'm looking for. Searched on everything buckle, comparison, noob, tang, etc. nada.
  6. Who can help? Don't remember if it was posted here or @ RepGeek and wether it was in a dealer section, Panerai of General section? A link would be greatly appreciated! Mark
  7. Thanks for sharing. I know that over at the Geek Angus has prototype pics of the improved version of this movement (v2) posted in his section. It is basically this exact same movement only with crisp engravings all over. Instead of prints on the V1.
  8. Good question? I've seen the rep that comes with the 029 and that is pretty darn good. It does have an engraving and all.
  9. Don't mind the black dot. It's for my own reference. Here it is under my super bright work bench light. Wimpie send me a Bentley case and crystal and I put in an old dial myself so you can get an idea of the result. Of course there is dust and debree in the case as everything is hold down with a cloth from the the back side The crappy Iphone pics can't really capture the purplish colour and true anti-reflective properties but you get an idea.... More info and better pics after the week-end.
  10. Wow wow wow!! Looks very promising. Good to see at least 1 factory that is still active.....
  11. Breit bracelet is fake, looks like a pro I but in fact is a fantasy due to the shiney linkes in the middle.
  12. Keep an eye on this thread. Will be getting the results back next week and will post tests and pics.
  13. Hi hampie, You can't buy Asian 7750 spares. Most parts are interchangeable with the ETA version. Not all. Can't exactly say which are and which aren't. I mostly just try. Movements that don't have spares become spares! That way I collected about 10 a7750s for spares
  14. Lol this is the best version out and it will probably be the best version for a very long time. Even if you decided to buy it... It is sold out and not available anymore as far as I know.
  15. If you are going to use it heavily I would go for a 2836 or 2824 series. They are virtually indestructible. I have a experiment Rolli with a 2824 serviced movement which I won't take off ever! I mountain bike, play golf, whack the moll etc. It's bulletproof.
  16. Wise choice. I explicitly asked Andrew if there were delivery problems and he said NO. Please know I maybe ordered 100ths of watches from Andrew and he always treated me right but this is just bullsh!t. He is lying just to get our money..... 2 weeks have passed and 0 communication or QC pics. As a vet I'm patient and I don't mind waiting. I know how this game works. Just don't lie!!
  17. I ordered a noob and a v6 about 1,5 week ago. No QC pics nothing.....
  18. Standard replica. It can be bought straight from the dealer like that.
