  1. Sorry b16a2.. I have the gen silver/ white BCE of my neighbour here. IMO the 2nd gen BCE is more accurate when it comes to the right colour white (creamy white has more resemblance to the silverish dial).
  2. Well... it's an modified old style Asian 7750 so it's a piece of crap IMHO. With no modifications this movement can hardly cope with daily use. With all the extra added functions this watch is doomed to become a paper weight.......
  3. WRONG... The black dial with silver sub dials is the most accurate! The rep uses the wrong colour white! The gen is not white but silverish. The gen MOP looks kinda white but still isn't. The replica with white dial is sort of a tweener because it is white like the MOP but isn't MOP...... The graphite dial is also way off. The subdials are black while the gen has them in the same colour as the dial (like Kruzer said). And we all know that the grey version is the wrong colour grey.... too dark.
  4. My gen also needs some pressure and the AD told me that's due to all the gaskets and seals......... Your rep is WP up to a 100bar so... could be the same story.
  5. I just contacted Lello.. I will send him the shots. They could help him construct the right overlay
  6. Well in that case.... I ain't gonna strip my neighbour's BCE off course I will make a couple of shots and post them here... Maybe they can be of use, maybe not. I hope the person who can make the new date wheel overlays will read this post before then. In my opinion it would be possible to scan the Asian date wheel and just photoshop all the gen fonts on to it...... like a puzzle.
  7. Tomorrow I get to borrow the gen BCE from my neighbour so I can take 31 high res. shots of the date wheel. I don't know who needs them and if I should post them here or just mail them to who ever needs them? Maybe also someone could give me some tips on how many pix the shots should have and if they have to be JPEG or TIFF (have both settings on my camera - Minolta Dimage F200-). I'm familiar with macro shots so I think the pictures will turn out pretty nice Mark PS: I will upload some pics tomorrow evening... if there is interest off course......otherwise I'm not going through all that trouble
  8. Josh sucks!.. I think we hurt his 'feelings' with all the threads concerning his and Andrew's integrity bla bla bla ba You've got to be kidding me!
  9. Damn, you guys turn 180 fast... less than 2 weeks ago you were all lobbying for a ban for Josh and Andrew....
  10. YES, please remove all pictures, custom descriptions etc. ... this is a public forum!
  11. I think it is not wise to post the 'smuggling' details here... no matter how funny or clever found they are. If I were you I would edit my post. I'm glad you received your watch.... at last! Wear it well!
  12. Read THIS I can't understand why the dealers don't include some instructions. Either in mail or package.
  13. True True... He ain't getting my money no more!
  14. $330 ex. shipping.... Produced in limited numbers (can be read on the home page)..... yeah right! No movement pictures..... Probably has an $2 Asian movement inside Despite my name I'm no Rolex fan nor expert so if this watch is anything like a MBW please forgive me my ignorance. -CLICK-
  15. Look at my signature for the review!
  16. All new SMPs have the 3 o clock marker missing. This can be read in several posts in the Omega section. As for the bezel alignment you are right... it is really hard to pop the bezel off. I also f#cked up and ruined my SMP trying to get the bezel off. It's all part of the game. Learn from it and do it different (or don't do it) the next time! If you're clumsy, like me, don't mess with your watches! As for the HEV...just plain bad luck!
  17. Every dealer who 'misrepresents' his items has to receive a warning from a mod/ admin as it is their duty to protect the newbies from scams. A mistake can easily be made... also by a dealer so we can do it like the U.S. system:" 3 strikes YOU'RE OUT!
  18. Thanks! Appreciate it Zig! "IT'S TOOL TIME"
  19. I tried the search function many times but was not able to find an article on regulating the ETA 28xx for more than 20 secs. If someone does find it please forgive me and please post the link here. I know the screw is for fine regulation, but how do I need to regulate the speed if it gains more than 20 secs. a day? Is it okay to gently tap the B lever counter clockwise (like the Asian 7750)? I know it has to be the lever with the mainspring passing through (The Zigmeister, 2006). I don't know if this is the B lever though. Borrowed the pic from Gioarmani's post.
  20. Thanks guys... I know the logo ain't that far off You are right with your pic Anreww & ChubbChubb.... I took two other pics as straight as I could.... it's kinda hard without my lightbox, so sorry for the poor quality. I think it's fair to conclude that I'm a nitpick
  21. The watch is breathtaking and almost perfect. Yes almost, because I have a misaligned Omega symbol. A common problem on these models (especially the black-orange version). I asked the dealer to make sure the logo was aligned properly so now I ask you guys, do I have any reason to complain? When I look at reviews like ByTor's and others it feels like I'm always having bad luck when it comes to these things.... Maybe I'm just a nitpick (blame RWG ) and there is no reason to complain... If I'm honoust I would say the last. I just want to hear it from you guys Zoom in to take a better look...
  22. You don't need to press the HEV... its a V A L V E... as in valve. Not a button Do a search. There are several posts which explain how a HEV works.
