Is there a drop in ETA replacement for the DG4813 so I can use the same dial etc but change to a swiss movement?
-
Nice movement! Are those panerai bridges engraved or are they foil?
-
The hand colour should be silver for a black dial I think...
-
Anyone know where these are available? Have they gone out of production?
-
@ Vootzilla Is the text on your watch engraved or are they stickers?

Arch, Can you PM me your contact for Conq dials? From my experience I bought a Conq dial from Toumii on Ebay and the feet didn't match a gen 2892 Conq rep. Not sure where to get a dial with the correct feet placement.
-
I asked watchmark. Here is the reply: "dear friend my factory wholesaler tell me that watch using swiss ETA 6497 manal winding movement. and i trust in him. but from my personal side i am not really know what movement it is.....i hope some member can help me. thank you regards mark"
-
It appears to be sold by watchmark but you guys pointed out different facts to what I was looking at... I thought the text "OFFICINE PANERAI" on this movement appeared to be a lot sharper and smaller but not quite the same as gen.
-
We should maybe ask watchmark as it is at his site... The dial looks like it is deeper too than the standard rep dial.
-
Does this movement look like a different rep movement? The engraving seems smaller and more gen-like: http://www.timeshops.net/Panerai_Luminor_M...3;!_937.htm

Anyone have any ideas where to get the best 183H? Preferably with Swiss e series movement with swan neck? DSN is out of these movements and in any case his dial isn't the best of the lot...
-
Anyone ever bought this rep? How is it?

Ajoesmith, Any chance of maybe doing a run of the imperfect dials? What is the minimum order number? Maybe we could compromise and order 50 of the dials or so the way you had them? Would your dealer even be interested in selling them on a piece by piece basis for say $50 a pop? Maybe this is just fantasy.

Anyone know sources for rep desk clocks? I'm wondering if the Panerai stuff was ever repped. All I have ever seen is a Bvlgari desk clock which isn't repped too well:

Count me in if a dial ever appears!

Franck Muller Conquistador ETA 2892 Dial Swap - Feet Position?
absinth replied to absinth's topic in Watch Repair & Upgrade
Took another look at the dial. It has feet at the 3 position and 9 position. Where should the feet be? -
Hey Guys, Does anyone have a diagram of the dial feet position for a genuine ETA 2892 Franck Muller Conquistador dial? Or even just a genuine ETA 2892? I bought a gen dial and left it with my watch maker but apparently the dial I bought has feet positions which do not correspond with my gen ETA 2892 movement in the watch. Has anyone had a similar experience? Can someone take photos of the back of a compatible dial and help me out? Edit: Also if any watch makers could chime in, maybe The Zigmeister? If you have a photo of the back of a dial showing the correct dial feet position and spacing that would be great!

Will a dial made for an ETA2000 fit on an ETA2671?
-
If I have a vintage dial which has been yellowed/browned due to poor storage/age. Is there a way to make it white again safely without repainting it? What cleaners can I try use?
-
They should just re-release the good version of the Conq ETA-2892 and then add the chrono version to it... The Conq ETA-2892 is nearly perfect esp. with a dial swap and a Chrono wouldn't be too difficult to make off from the standard tonneau Conq.
-
I'm actually looking for the black dial/silver version as repainting the hands on the white is going to be difficult.

Any leads for this one?

Does anyyone know where to get an ETA-2000 Tank Francaise 1:1 rep for under $500 USD? All the dealers around seem to want $500 USD and that's a heap considering the real is $1500!
