  1. Don't mess around. Buy all the Pams available. Tomorrow. You know it makes sense. Happy timekeeping! Clive
  2. Damn. I thought they were all made by blindfold Jewish virgins, underwater...
  3. Major problem! "Beauty's"? Oh no, oh no, oh no, Sir.. the apostraphe is possesive, it does not indicate any class of plurality. The correct spelling would be "beauties". I hope this helps. Happy timekeeping! Clive
  4. omg.. a 187 on a metal bracelet. Can you lift your arm?
  5. The best straps that I have all came from HK Tan. Made to measure and absolutely lovely. The gen guys speak highly of his work, too. Possibly the best and most expensive, short of a gen Pam strap is www.ABP-paris.com You can have hours of fun designing a strap on their website.. then baling out before you have to pay for it :-) Happy timekeeping! Clive
  6. Those lug screws can be a right bugger. I used superglue on one of mine... had to, really - the threads in the second-hand watch were stripped. Threadlock is a good option on a new watch. However.. here is my real tip - most straps are made to fit standard springbars or Pan bolts. So the Rad wires rattle around in the strap and look a bit silly. I solved this by inserting a length of used ball-pen refill in the strap. I cut it a little shorter than the width of the strap. The result is that the Rad wires are a snug fit in the strap, will never damage it. and that the fix is completely invisible. Happy timekeeping, Clive
  7. This is deeply saddening. I have had the privilege of meeting Jos and Andrew and I know them both to be stand-up guys. Sure, they are in business to make a living - but I have seen how hard Jos works to bring us the good stuff. I certainly don't believe, as has been suggested, that Jos had ever employed such underhand tactics to disable a competitor. Why? Well, firstly, he is too busy to spend time on shenanigans of such doubtful value and secondly, he doesn't need to. He is the best. The very fact that he is being attacked in this way kinda proves that. Nice when competitors do the PR for you...:-)
  8. That is so close to the truth that it is scary. I spent 7 days under house arrest in Guangzhou last year. But the "house" was a 5-star Marriot, so I managed to cope:-)
  9. I cannot believe that my comment was censored. The spell-checker must have its head firmly up its [censored]
  10. A few years ago, no spares were available, from any dealer. None, nada, nothing. Jos broke the mould when he found me a replacement Pam buckle screw. Sourcing spares is a pain in the [censored] for our dealers. The trick is to ask nicely, I think.
  11. Go and wash your mouth with nasty soap!
  12. This is what can happen if you don't waterproof the inside of your strap...
  13. But this was the Patek that I chose to wear the night that I had dinner with Jos and Andrew..
