got a new toy from Angus just natural shots, no studio photo setup or lighting kit, threw it on the bed, turned on the light and snapped away and of course.. wrist shots

I wish I coulda been there watching you both, I bet you were GLOWING after that, yes Vic, you have no idea how many people steal glances at your wrist everytime you got the HBB on and that ain't even the "are you insane you bought that rep" my answer is obvious, i never hide this statement (not opinion either) but out of all the reps I have right now all of which are pretty damn great quality-wise and have all garnered their share of compliments nothing is as big an effin attraction-magnet than the Hublot Big Bang :X it attracts so much attention that I ADMITTEDLY hate that being its main weakness.. Attraction=NOT A GOOD THING in the streets of nyc.. so basically.. the Hublot Big Bang is wearable only on strict occasions.. and almost never should be left "out in the open" specially in the nyc subways/buses/etc.. you're only tempting come what may :X

who makes those straps...? that stitching is very thick/heavy just the way i like it

lol they did linger over that shot for a while, i know for a fact i just kept blinking thinking, "that bracelet seems awfully familiar" then when they finally cut away i was like "THAT WAS A PAM!"

yea, imagine my surprise watching that live.. the camera lingered there for a while.. so HDTV + Tivo = got the shot all fairness though.. i recognized the bracelet more than the watch.. Actually, i saw my first Panerai irl today too (yea, my first one in nyc, lol).. I went to a medical hospital/teaching center this afternoon and when i was going in the elevator, one of the female students walking out had an unmistakeable panerai.. she was holding her bag so her wrist was high and i 100% know it was a pam.. rubber strap (for vic cuz you know she wondering) i think it was gen perhaps (i mean, how many reps are on the rubber strap :X) lol if i wasn't late for my interview i'd have stopped her and talked to her about it, future wifey maybe

that's not me.. but the guy's definitely gay, it's a PAM watch after all further proof: he's wearing the ss bracelet to appear more masculine, too late buddy it's a pam!

one can spin this thread around and we can start listing the BRAWNY watches (you know, like the guy on the front of the BRAWNY papertowels) as the sign of the man man :lol: well, i'll start it off.. if you have a BREITLING or an AP on your wrist, then yes.. you're a BRAWNY man lol, shoot.. wearing 50 lbs of metal alone on your wrist makes you a brawny guy so forget us gays who have panerai, where the brawny men at? start listing the brawny watches.. perfect example: AP Terminator watch - 50lbs right on your wrist, real man wear!

btw guys just an fyi, a little backstory to the thread cuz Vic is right and not everyone may know it.. there was a thread not so long ago asking if wearing a Panerai sends out a signal that you're gay or why is it that gay people have chosen PAMs to be their 'signal' :X so yea, i didnt wanna rehash all the opinions/etc on that thread but basically, that's what i was referencing to with this thread, jus so you dont think im comin out of stuff from thin air -.-

not sure if you even realized it but that is the saddest truth as to why PAMs have become the de-facto choice of gay people everywhere -.- PAMs imnho are supremely overhyped, it's not even the watch itself anymore that people obssess about but rather accessorizing it with straps.. ohhhh black now, brown tomorrow, omg FUSCHIA STITCHING!!! we can all laugh and stuff but the seriousness of it hits home because it's also true edit: and i say all this WITH 2 straps incoming with those super cool pirate buckles hey, I may have an unrealized gay tendencies since I'm a PAM owner now and thinking of accesorizing but at least I'm man enough to admit it

imnho.. the HBB's only have 1 real thing that seperates themselves from any and all contenders.. Polished Ceramic Bezel this alone trumps any and all other "super-reps" in terms of quality.. I like the comparison smoeone once made that besides the design and the magnetic appeal of the big bang and the combination of textures that blend together in a magnificent soup, what truly seperates the HBB is the polished ceramic bezel.. it literally becomes unique because of the depth and richness of it.. it's like staring into a pool and seeing things reflected and captured.. there's a mirror-effect to it that simply has to be seen to be believed.. I said this before and I'll say it again.. out of all my reps and they almost always gets compliments (FM Conq 2892, UPO, Montblanc Timewalker, Pam 111h) ... *nothing* gets attention like the HBB literally, every single person who has seen it who knows me and those who do not know me but have enough guts.. actually compliment the watch you know how ridiculous a batting average that is? that's like batting 1.000, everyone who has seen it who knows me, has complimented me on it and not just once.. some people continually do so saying, "damn i can't get over that watch" or some other such.. BUT not everything is perfect.. to truly appreciate something, you must know its flaws.. and the HBB has 2 glaring flaws 1. it must never come off your wrist (caseback stickers=you're dead) 2. ...you cannot wear it out on the streets at night, you will be robbed/mugged/etc.. it's that potent a magnet

oh, forgot the pics, lol yea yea there're flaws, crown size (not 2mm), Swiss writing too close to 6, cannon pin but besides that, unless someone's REALLY anal well.. like I said, there was a base stock pam that was for sale for like $200, so to scratch a certain annoying itch since pams (imnho) are ridiculously overpriced these days (who knows maybe it's the big bang effect, people think hey there's people out there spending a grand on hbb's, let's bump pams to 400-700 and no one will notice -.-) anyhows, my ghetto (since I'm in Brooklyn) 111h it's got personality, it's not modded as far as I know but the AR is sick and it just looks... it looks proper, as much as I'd hate to say it.. the best rep (notice i said rep, not just fm but in general out of all reps) is also the one that can't be found anymore.. it's the legendary FM Conq 2892 which is no longer produced here, someone named Avitt, a while ago took a picture of the difference in quality from what is produced now, to what was done before.. see for yourself, i don't think i'll even have to say which is the "FmConq2892 extinct" and which one is the current version See for yourself and relize why one has achieved mythical status .. the real question that bakes my cookie is this Why'd they stop producing it?

i already know which one i'd keep (not get) HBB Rose Gold + Polished Ceramic there is a similar thread here about this.. "if you can only have one", dig that up and you'll see more recommendations ranging from everything

the only thing i'm dissapointed about is that i broke a personal rule.. never get more reps than what i can wear i am not one of those buy it and store it in a box guys.. so basically, I wear my HBB and UPO heavily.. but because i was missing a 'classic' SS watch.. I bought a Montblanc Timewalker.. that same day someone offered the legendary FM Conq 2892.. which I also took so both arrived at the same time.. but both never get worn because of the HBB -.- that's the only thing i'm dissapointed about.. i don't even see it as reps anymore, they're watches.. yet people notice.. ohhhh people notice the watch on my wrist

no chance in hell i'd buy one now with these insane prices str8 up ...but it aint just hbb though.. some pams are being offered for near 600 -.- just in general.. these 'super rep' prices are insane Insane! :X and yes i have one..

how you tell if it's natural vs synthetic? if it's deformed = synthetic? cuz mine came flawless :X well, not really flawless .. i took a pic of it, one of my letters is a little mis-aligned on the back rotor
