Ok, I managed to get the dial clamps out finally. I think my problem was that they are so small, it was difficult to see where I could apply the force to get them to swing out. Its my first time working on a watch so doing a movement swap was a little ambitious I guess, but I think I will be okay from now on.
Thanks for the help chieftang and dachshund!
Theres a picture in the following thread by Pugwash with the clamps in a released postiton:

I just can't seem to figure out how to pull them out like that.
Hello everyone,
I am in the process of replacing the asian movement (slow beat) of my IWC 3717 with a genuine swiss 7750. I have disasembled the watch down to where I need to remove the dial but I can't figure out how to do this. I know where the dial clamps are located but I cannot see how I can release them. Is there somewhere where I can grab on and pull them out or what? I am stumped for the moment and any help would be greatly appreciated!
I recently purchased a Tag Link Chrono and am happy with the watch overall. This is my first ever rep so I wasn't sure what to expect.
I have a few questions about the bracelet. While resizing the watch I noticed that some of the links have dimples on the back which seem to prevent them from being removed. This isn't a problem from a sizing perspective but I wanted to remove them so that I could tighten them as the two links that are side by side seem to be loose and have a small gap between them. Has anyone completely disassembled the bracelet before?
Another issue that I have been having with the bracelet is that there is a little bit of play where the bracelet connects to the watch case such that the link can move side to side and when this occurs it makes a clicking noise that is getting anoying. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can fix this. Perhaps replacing the spring bars?
Thanks for any help.
