  1. Yes I did that on my 6538 and 5500 builds too. You can buy nice hands on JKHOROLOGICAL. Same as Clark's Tudor but for half the price and shipped in a week. [emoji632]
  2. Silver hands sanded to brass with 2000 grade sand paper. [emoji632]
  3. Decal dial and sanded Cartel hands. [emoji632]
  4. Thanks ! I don't think I'll file it more. Afraid to destroy my work. The better could be the enemy of the good [emoji6] https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?url=http%3A%2F%2Frwg%2Ecc%2Findex%2Ephp%3F%2Ftopic%2F180468-My-new-Cartel-5512%2Fpage__view__findpost__p__1476427&share_tid=180468&share_fid=5666&share_type=t&share_pid=1476427 [emoji632]
  5. I make dials myself. This old gen bracelet is a present from my father in law. It's stamped O6. I'm not an expert and I don't know something missing. What is this grove ? [emoji632]
  6. Today's specs. V2 Cartel 5512 case sanded, polished, and CG's modded to PCG. Athaya 700 crown. Clark's 25-19 plexi. Cartel insert bleached and heated to brownish. Cartel hands sanded and relumed. Glossy gilt dial. Gen 93150 bracelet. Gen 580 endlinks. A2836 with Selita SW220 mixed parts. [emoji632]
  7. Thank you ! I really appreciate. [emoji632]
  8. Hello my friend ! Those CG's are stunning, a real improvement. Decided to remove the pearl and heat the insert this noon. [emoji632]
  9. Ready ! Just need better hands from JK. [emoji632] Better pics soon. It's time to go to bed in France [emoji6]
  10. Come a long way since I bought this watch. I learned and experimented so many things. And I still have so much to learn. I love PCG 5513 but I have always thought it's to tricky for me to achieve a good Crown Guard shape. I have look to many pics and ask friends members some advices and more details photos. Today I woke up thinking it was time to improve this Cartel case. Here is the result after few hours of diamond files and 240, 400, 600, 1000, 1200, 1500 then 2000 sand papers grade. Need a little buffing. Very nice with Athaya 700 crown. [emoji632]
  11. Exactly ! Found it few months ago but can't find it again. The method is similar as far as I can remember. Thanks for the like [emoji6] I love the gilt effect on all my builds. [emoji632]
  12. And very easy to do. [emoji632] Fix the axis of the crown on a dremel bit holder and hold a little dremel sand disk with the other hand. It's very easy. [emoji632] Don't know how to do it. That would be very tricky. [emoji632] [emoji632]
  13. Impressive as always [emoji1305] Did you see my PM ? [emoji632]
  14. I drilled mine without difficulty. I used one cobalt drill bit and drill oil. The key is to drill a little at a time and don't force to not heat the bit. Drill a little, stop to cool the bit, drill... And don't hesitate to use a lot of oil. I know Josh sell case only. [emoji632]
  15. No dials to sell. Start over this 6610 because I'm not satisfied with the lume. And I will need a new crown, I can't stand this one. [emoji632]
  16. The hole is not wanted LOL. But I love it ! The lume was very thin and cracked drying. The gilt super glossy effect can't be seen how it's stunning on photos. I can't believe I could achieve this when I started 7 month ago. Decals [emoji632]
  17. Photo shoot this evening. Naked On rivet On Admiralty Grey Phoenix NATO Macro Thanks RWG and members. I would never have succeeded without your support. [emoji632]
