I thought the 42mm didn’t have a bevelled date window?

The easiest way to tell 42 or 45.5 size is:

    - distance between a DW and the 3 hour marker,

    - insert - width of a white stripe,

    - bezel - number of the teeth.

Yeah sure... gen AP is dime a dozen and everyone can easily buy five of them for 6k.

And when you buy gens, obviously you do not ask for the photos of box and paper, first you accept no box nor papers,t hen just request them from the seller.

    What a [censored]!!!

I hope paypal staff knows the basics about deals on gen and they will tell him "Loled hard but sir you are a retard, dispute dismissed".

Legend, expose him anyway. Such people usually try to come back on the rep side. He has 5 items each worth approx 1.2k so for sure he would like to sell them sooner or later.

I was told by the gentleman I got it off of that it was a v7 and said 2836 but with the instant date change I kinda was thinking it was a BP piece with the Swiss ETA 2836 version but somethings still aren't matching up so this has left me nothing but confused.... but don't get me wrong I'm not complaining at all! I love it and I think out of box this is pretty close. I'm working with an iPhone for pictures right now as I am a teacher and teach in a remote community. The Rehaut just seems too light not as deep as the double lined V7 again.... not complaining I'm really knit picking. I will try and post some better pictures tonight though.

If you see anything you can point out please do .... I'm trying to figure out if I should mod this piece or just catch and release this beauty.

Yes, it is ETA case you can tell by the crownguards. And it is BP serial so... your watch is either late BP or GMF:) (people say GMF is made in 100% of BP parts)

Early BP had awful bezel insert, yours is much nicer so it's GMF or recently updated BP, I can't tell more.

The most important thing is that watch is period correct: clasp+rehaut+dial, that does not happen often in reps.

I think you did a good deal, this watch is better than Noob v7, I love the crystal - it's superior over the v7.

Personally I wouldn't touch it, watch looks nice oob and you can't improve eta case anyhow.

What do you want to mod? BP case is not gen spec.

  5. 6YZ code is used by BP and GMF, but most of their clasps have polished inner blade. Yours isn't

Only sanded 6YZ clasp, which I am aware of is BP with miyota9015.

Still does not make sense as this isn't the miyota dial, the dial looks like Noob v6s.

Do you know which movement it has?

Can you post a better resolution photo of the ctystal cyclops and bezel pearl?

And the rehaut, I didn't get what you mean with "not being the solid lines".

    Greetings to all!!!

A couple of years ago, I purchased a 40th anniversary 007 Bond replica from a forum member for my brother who has been very happy with it ever since.

It has now starting to show some wear on the crown thread.  I am not sure where forum member purchased it from as he has been inactive on forum for over a year.

would anyone know or has had some experience in replacing crown and tube with a generic screw down crown.  I am in particularly interested in the measure of the tube of the part that fits into the case.  I know that the genuine one does not do the job as it is too short for this sort of case.  Also Omega have stopped selling spares just like Roles.  Suggestions of replacing it with an ordinary non screw down is an option, but I would like to leave that as the last resort.  Any info much appreciated with thanks!!!

Here we go OP, you need this

it is the ebay account of clarks, buy with confidence.

    thanks for your answers.

my real answer is how i can know what is good movement and what is not?

In the decent replicas of the submariner, you have two main options for the movement:

    - asian clone of Eta2836,

    - asian clone of Rolex 3135.

More reliable is 2836, it hardly would require you to do any service.

In 3135 it's hit or miss, you may receive the movement which will work fine without any service, or your movement can die after some time.

Just received a replica Tudor Black Bay 79230 from Joshua at Perfect Clones. I also own a genuine  79230 and the quality of the Perfect Clones is identical. It would be difficult to identify the clone without removing the case back to inspect the movement. Joshua followed all the communication and quality steps outlined at the outset of the transaction. I would have no hesitation in dealing with Joshua/Perfect Clones in the future.

OP, how do you assess the dial printing and shield logo printing when compared gen vs rep?

Lol oh well :p what projects you got on?

I was lucky to pick-up v6s 116610ln and it's pending some gen parts now.

Another v6s case will be used together with my bp no-date sub, still didn't figure out the final gen/rep shape of this watch.

One rep v5po is pending gen dial and hands.

Before the crash i sent few SMPc inserts to Steve, so he can try to develop some mod with smoothing and filling (with metal) the bezel engravings. I am really holding my breath here, still no feedback from Steve but if he success I will turn into a nice SMPc rep, otherwise will use that case for frankening into the older SMP.

So many things, so little time, lol

Nice :) currently enjoying costa del sol weather before I fly back on NYE to brexit -   Unfortunately not but have found a buyer who's potentially interested which is good news over on other RWG forums but I said best to wait until RWI is back up since it's a HVS etc also am going to sell my YM (just need to get the scratches sorted out with ado and then I'm contemplating to do a movement transplant) you interested? :p

No bro, too many open projects to hop in the YM:p

The rep in the video is this considered a 99.9% rep? I mean would this be the top end of reps on the market?

And can anyone name the rep in the video?

Hard to say without the installed bracelet, for me it's Noob v5 or v6.

It will be the next rep I pick up.

The one thing people are confused about is the hands motion.  It is true that the new rolex movement adjusts just like a 2824 but the quick set is different. The new rolex works a lot like the 3030 family.  Where on quickset one way winds and the other moves the date.  Where the ETA one way doesn't do anything while the other way changes the date.

So yes. It is nice but detectable.

I look forward to getting this watch and throwing a real ETA maybe relume hands and dial and call it a day.

Mate, does it mean 3235 has only 2 crown positions? 1st for manual winding/date quickset, and 2nd for the time setting?
