  1. The site itsself is not that fancy. It's basically a standard webshop package that has been personalized with some logos and a load of watch pics.

    Prices are very friendly. :)

But man... I don't know... I'll hold off 'til there's at least a couple of positive reviews about this site.

  2. Is there any problem with waiting to have it serviced?

I'm wondering about that myself so I'd like to add to the question 'If so, within what timespan should it really be serviced before I run into trouble?'

I don't think The Zigmeister is even accepting new service requests right now....

Considering the above, would a local watchmaker do?

I realize he won't do a relume or anything like that but servicing a movement or even changing date/time wheels... ?

Anyone have any previous experience with taking a rep to a watchmaker?

I'd probably best stay away from a AD me figures... :p

  3. On some sites they offer the CD both with a Asian 7750 or a Swiss 7750.

I read here somewhere that a swiss version runs better and is more stable but my question is...is it worth the additional $670?

That's a lot of money you can also use in other pleasant ways. ^_^

Anyone with any experience with both?

  4. Hi there,

I figure I'd better introduce myself as well after lurking here for the last couple of days.

I'm totally new to the entire rep game and I'm still learning every time I log in. This forum is almost a wikipedia in itsself. ;-)

How I got here? Looking for a nice watch, stumbling upon the Holy Grail (IWC's Aquatimer Cousteau Diver...*heavenly choir goes 'Aaaahhhhhh!'*), complete and utter infatuation,... and after some Googling finding out I will never be able to own the real thing. Ever. I hope to one day be able to get me a gen Breitling B-1 or Aerospace Advantage but that's probably it.

So now I try to soak up all the knowledge collected here and to make a deal sometime in the near future to start of a collection of my own.

If you have any advice, compaints, tips or anything else, feel free to drop me a line. In the meantime I'll be studying here... ;)
