I have both of them...I prefer wearing the Corum...as the previous poster said...you won't make a mistake getting one of the two... the Corum is a big watch...wears like a 44mm PAM, it's made of ti so it's not that heavy...I personally prefer the Corum over the IWC, but it's a personal choice...the rubber strap is comfortable and of good quality...the engravings on the caseback are clean and nice... with the mods you have mentioned...AR and ETA DW...this one (CACC) is really a super rep....

will that one have a manual wind movement (6497/98)...if so, aren't this mvt's with center seconds expensive ones?

agree with that...there should be a sticky somewhere with the best reps in the 150$ range...the SOSF is listed there as well, together with Noobmariners, Yachtmariners and others...plenty of selection of good and cheap reps... I'll look for the stick and will post a link for you... don't go quartz!

tnx capice...If I see one FS I will point the seller in your direction... I will use the 036 I just bought to transform it to 082...I have the dial and caseback...what I miss is the black sec hand (but that should be not a problem to source)...

sorry but for 150$ and less you cannot get an automatic movement with working chronos from the dealers...if you are lucky you could find them on the 2nd hand market...but even if they come on the 2nd hand market at that price, they sell within minutes! as for the mentioned models there are the ones with working chronos at the price you said (approx. 150$) but they are QUARTZ powered reps... the reps that you are after and that have automatic movement w working chronos go by the dealers for 250+$...more likely in the 300$+ range....

I am looking forward to see more pics (close ups) of this one...as well it would be nice to know what treatment has been done to the case to have that specific look... waiting for an update from the dealers....

I got the 036 from RL... the PAMs and the Breitlings rule...seems that other brands are left out for the moment

this post is just an additional prove of all the BS we are hearing from our dealers! it is obvious that the two versions are same except for the AR...

I just looked at the description of the YGG watches...seems that they have some sort of Cortebert Rolex movement in them...I am not a mvt expert thus I cannot say if the price is good or not...generally a YGG 47mm custom made watch runs in the 700$ range with an asian swanneck 6497 mvt... as for the PVD...it's overpirced definitely...

this is definitely the year of the Breitlings...a lot of members ordered at least one this year (I haven't yet...but there is time)

I am pretty excited because lately I managed to score some pieces I was after some long time... the first one is a Vintage Panerai with an Angelus SF240 movement....my grail watch...I've been drooling over this one for a couple of years now...since I saw the 1st one done by WM...followed by some nice examples done by Enzo and VDBrouck... the second one is a PAM 036 with swiss ETA6497 movement...got this one at a great price from a forum friend from which I've already purchased a couple of great reps in the past... then I have two straps coming my way as well... the first one is a nice custom made hornback croc... the second one is a Julien Landa blue jeans strap.... Once I get all those beauties, I think I won't be ordering reps and strap for the next 6 months...yeah right! so what do YOU have on order?
