  1. I think I'm doing a relapse about watch addiction guys  the Mark XVIII catch my eyes like hell, this XVII is awsome too.Don't want to hijack the post of Ayr, but, if I'm correct, the XVIII is a 40mm and the XVII a 41mm for gen one, can we confirm this on rep too, cuz there's some contradiction on dealer ads, and, base on the above pic, it look's like the AR is little weak , is it a double side AR?

  2. The new ones from Baselworld look pretty similar, only the dial seems not be as shiny. I tried on a LM at the local Omega Boutique some time ago and I have to say it looks pretty stunning in the flesh! I'm not too sure about the dial for daily use, though. It's really, really blingy and very similar to the GMTIIC's bezel.

Here's a bad picture from Basel, the watch pictured supposedly is the new 42mm version with 8500 caliber . Size wise pretty similar, only about one mm thicker, 15,7mm if I remember correctly and with display back (the 8500 is beautiful so I won't say anything about tool watches ;)).

finally!!! screw pin on bracelet !!!!!! a lot easier to adjust than the current @*&#@ pin on omega bracelet.

  3. New acquisition...still not have time to clean it, I took my camera to shoot it right away...

For purist, is not the "best" rep (have some flaws, fat hand hour, etc.) all sub ceramic have flaws anyway, you need to live with it, or skip it. But his watch have a great presence. Can,t go wrong with a sub anyway. A classic

Best edition from PureTime if you ask. V serial no, 316F.

  4. Now that Puretime just release a lite version of the sub ceramic, between Trusty and Puretime, which one is a better rep ? Eagle eye, input will be welcome.

For me, they look the same god'em things, even the price, only exception, one use sapphire, other one use mineral.

DO I MISS SOMETHING HERE

  5. Yes and no :bangin:

So, the DG2813 and 4813 have the dial feet in the same place. The stem height is the same. The hand sizes are the same. Therefore, it should be a direct swap.

However, like the ETA family of movements, they come with different length pinions. Almost all DG4813s seem to have the low hand stack, so many times when you do the swap, everything fits until you go to install the hands then you find that there's not enough clearance between the hands and the dial.

There used to be high-hand-stack 4813s, but the supply seems to have dried up.

Great, finaly, a clear explanation. :victory:

  6. I don't know why, but I personally have seen and touched movements stamped 2813 that beat at 28.8kbph. They were different from the DG4813.

    Very interesting :g:

Do you know if a DG4813 can be a direct swap for a DG2813 ? I read a lot of different opinion on that. Your input will be welcome.

  7. Are all 21j mvts 21,600 or are they making 21j 28,000 mvts ???

    A21j (j for jewels, so 21 jewel) without mention anything else it's a DG2813 that beat at ~21k bpm. The DG4813 it's the 28,000 mvt (i.e ~28k bpm) version of the DG2813.

  8. Are you sure it's full wound!

Crank it manually, about 50 turns, leave it on your night table, and check tomorow. And if there's a problem, communicate with the member. It's a $15 mvt, you can change it in worst case scenario.

I can add that this kind of mvt can be very very precise.
