  1. Personally, I enjoy buying reps because of its affordability hence allowing me to explore different watches. And why do I wear them? Dfferent reasons. Generally, the reps that I wear regularly are the watches I love but not to the extend of buying a genuine piece. There are certain watches I would splurge on a gen and other watches that I would simply stick to reps.

Another time when I wear my reps extensively is when I put myself in a situation where my watches are in vulnerable position of getting scratched or dinged ie. moving, gym, etc. Other than that, I generally find reps are a good way for me to try on watches, kinda like renting a genuine watch in a way.... if u catch my drift.

  2. I have an MF black buffalo as well and I love it. I think MF is a good investment and the colour of the light brown Vachetta looks stunning. If I were you, that would be the one I go for as well. 24/24mm would not only be historically correct, it looks better as well imo. Plus the sewn in 'gpf' style buckle is always a plus for me.

One down side is the thickness bit, but I can live with it. I used to think 'the thicker the better' but now I am pretty much settled in 4-5mm, anymore is just an overkill. I think MF is about 3mm thick.

    Good luck.

  3. Excellent review! Initially I was to get one but I chickened out. The reason being, my eyes was set on EL's best fiddy. Been contemplating for quite a while now and decided to get it before it slips away. I was a new project to keep me busy now. :) This destro sub is one unique piece. I was smittened by it when I first saw it so much so that I almost made a hasty decision to.... ahh... nvm. :animal_rooster:

Great pics there and the crown looks thick and chunky. :)

Wear it well, cant wait to see it in person. :thumbsupsmileyanim:

  4. To *me*... that watch just looks silly (but then again, I thouyght the same about Panerai five years ago (look at me now lol))

It may look better to me on a bigger wrist, but I think the design is pretty bad overall... No offense intended

I am with you swdivad. I never got on with B&R. Given that they are made to have the characteristics of a pilot instrumental dial and should remain as such. It just looks ridiculous on the wrist. :) I'll run now b4 I get stoned by B&R fans. :)

  5. Good one Joshua. Thanks for your detailed input. IMO Davidsen is good for certain parts like AR fiddy glass, canon pin, etc but in terms of watches my opinion differs. Not dissing Davidsen as I think he is a GREAT asset to our community and he tries very HARD to deliver quality goods to the masses but I think in terms of dial font quality as well as Panerai watch SS casing goes, I would stick to older reps from the rest of our dealers.

Another thing tho, I have seen Davidsen's Radiomir ceramic case and that is one hell of a mod. Big thumbs up to that one.
