  1. After some time with the watch--the bezel insert is definitely attached with very poor quality glue, which is as expected per all the reviews. I realigned it quickly, but am waiting on a replacement insert from the dealer (free, due to a scratch when I got it... Andrew has some good customer service!). So I did not use 2 part epoxy to put it back, since I will be switching it when the new insert comes. Is the 2 part epoxy permanent, or is it possible to remove it in the future? I'm looking for a strong glue that will leave me the possibility of switching in the future. I hope that the glue will hold until then. Did I already say that I LOVE this watch! The GMT hand has been working perfectly!
  2. I just received the watch--bezel misaligned as expected, but the gmt hand is keeping perfect time and I LOVE THIS WATCH. Has anyone tried to remove the bezel per by-tor's guide? I tried first with fingernails, then a knife... No luck. (Still want to fix the bezel though!) Any experience with this particular model's bezel? For $108 + shipping, this is probably one of the best deals out there (UPO lite is up there...) Also, i took a shower with it... no fog!
  3. Nice review! I actually ordered this same watch, just cleared customs this morning and it'll probably be here tomorrow! It looks beautiful.... but did you contact the dealer about the inaccurate GMT hand? I mean, it makes its way around the face but obviously doesn't work.
  4. Thanks so much for your input. About the GMT hand being 15 mins late... can i easily readjust it to the real time, or will it be permanently like that, "slipping." If I can fix it everytime i see the problem, that won't be too bad.
  5. Guys, I need help. Just ordered a SMP GMT 2535.80 from an as-yet unnamed dealer. The pictures on the website have flaws that do not bother me (solid case back instead of display on the gen, thickness differences, date font...). However, he emailed me and told me he'd be sending a "better" model, with the "correct" display back and upgraded movement. However, he sent me the attached picture. The GMT hand is bright red and much larger and changes the look of the watch. I can't stand looking at this different model. He said that there were problems with the mov't (GMT hand "slips" after a while"). What does slipping mean, anyway? Apparently, the newer watch has fewer problems with movement, and has the swiss eta case. Still, I can't take looking at the horribly inaccurate GMT hand, so I asked that he not send the new one. He said that he'd then send me the old one. That's where I'm at now. What to do? I don't want the hand slipping, but I definitely don't want that GMT hand.
  6. Hi everyone, I've recently been trying to decide between an SMP chrono or just the regular Bond. I decided on the non-chrono, love the design and the basic SMP is a necessary part of every collection. On perfectclones and ttwrist watch, they sell the SMP for $238 + $30, with the Swiss 2824-2 mov't. http://www.perfectclones88.com/omse10003-s...8242-p-891.html However, on the same site there is a PO with an Asian 2824 for $128 + s/h. http://www.perfectclones88.com/omse10032-p...0bp-p-2468.html There must be an SMP with the asian movement made. Do they sell it, or are there any other trusted sellers with the asian movement? Thanks for your help!
