Ha! Sounds like you found the one...
Mine's in the rotation, maybe every 10 days on gen buffalo for the more relaxed black shoe days at work.

wow, its a beautiful piece. Thanks Scropper. Anyone knows how is this compared to the gen?
Thanks, no worries.
It's much closer than the last versions. Dial is better (indices the right kinda bold), CG is correctly shaped and non-roller (also correct for H).
Lume is excellent and well applied - not quite flat but almost flat, and is perfectly centred on each border bit.
Overall is great!

I've got one - landed a few days ago.
Have it on a gen black calf - it's fantastic.
Will get some better shots tomorrow but here's a couple for now:

Thanks for sharing - how's the lume?
-
I'm thinking of a kevlar strap as I find the watch/dial a bit casual - but still unsure of size!
-
I've got one en route too - can anyone confirm strap size is 20x18 please?
Thanks

Great shots, a pleasure to look through.

What's the R Doobie bud?!
My bad - I now see it's actually a Paul Picot! Thought it was an Easy Diver first time around...
Wear the Picot much?

Hi Scropper
The Cartiers look great. Briefly, which ones are they and would you mind at all letting me know who provided them?
Are they the rep included straps or separate purchase?
Cheers!
John
Hi John
Both Cartiers, and just this week a third Santos; the mid-size for the Missus, are from Josh. I do believe most TDs can get them though.
They're all the so-called 'ultimates' at around $400 each. They're all on gen straps too (from a Cartier shop).
Highly recommend both the watches and the gen straps.

One of three to arrive today:
I love it! If you're on the fence about one of these; get off it and get one!
Thanks for watching...

Thanks for sharing Bud, nice collection.
What are your thoughts of the R Doobey? Always been tempted but never got round to getting one.

Oooooooh - most attention from me? Of all my watches, probably my 176 on black OP 'tubey' leather (from the 233) - its just perfect for casual days at the office. For the dressier days, I go with the Portofino or gen Daytona. Weekend PAM? Loving my brown dials at the mo (390 and 061). Of the non-PAMs, probably the two Hublot, though the Cartiers will be in with a good shout going forwards... Basically; I like to mix it up!
-
Thanks - yes the straps on the Hublot were a magnificent upgrade. Almost bought gen leather (the chukka strap for my RG) but I honestly prefer the one I have even after both in-hand.
-
Some close-ups of the non-PAMs... The Hublots - V1 Black Magic, V6 RG Cappuccino; both on Donerix Specials (Hamilton Leatherworks, HIGHLY recommended): The New Boys - both 'ultimates'; both on gen straps: The Chronofighter - on Serge Ostrich (beautifully soft): The Portofino - on gen alligator: Hope you like S
-
...never thought it would happen. With the addition of these two: ...on gen straps: ...my keeper-box has a full row without a single PAM: Frankly, I'm amazed. I'm a diverse mofo after all! S

I like this piece. On OP vintage calf: S

Great watch, great pics! Is the bracelet on these truly as good as people say or is it simply 'good for a rep'? Am on the fence at the mo so answers/advice very much appreciated. S
