I recently ran across this new single malt I've fallen in love with: Grangestone 21. Just had some in fact
The rep forum pays off again! Picked up a couple bottles of Grangestone 21 on sale this week. Great 21 year for the price.

Did you see where he just whacked the Hulk off the DJ ? People tend to a little more careful displaying their gens lol
Now that was worth a watch. Lol.

Any feedback on the hand stack?

A little old lady who has almost a hundred grand in Rolexes, on a table at a fair. Claims to know nothing about them. Then OP signs up at a rep site to get "opinions"? Come on, Pat...

This is what got me to the question in my first post. If the fair was Art Basel in Miami on the Yacht marina and the purchase price was north of 4K its possible.
I had a buddy who’s dad passed away unexpectedly two years back. He was a used car dealer and had a lock box with all sorts of random stuff he had taken in on trade for cars over the years. If my buddy had not stepped in and done some investigation, his “stepmom” 10 years younger than he is would have sold all three watches for $500 because they were not Rolex’s.
A GEN 80s Patek, 90s IWC and 03 PAM086 later he and his two brothers chopped up a nice collection.

Thanks for the apology, N.L.P slight of eye your brain must work slightly different to my northern one it also has a hacking feature when crown is pulled out stopping the watch , so not sure if this was ever done on reps?
Hacking, yes, but that movement was never cloned to that extent.

Definitely looks gen from movement alone.

The 18 is the same in both it is an optical illusion look again. Looks gen to me. The only maker of this left is TW and they have stopped. The movement looks gen to me I have never seen a clone version of a 1570. The insert pops like the gen too. The watch is not too expensive but the dials and inserts can go for silly money. I love the nipple dials. I am not sure if it is an original bracelet.
BP makes a 16713 version.
I won’t argue with Yllekp. Perhaps I am missing something.

Come on man... the 1 in 18 is a completely different color on the wrist shot vs the tagged photo.

Really? Look at the "18"

Not sure what is going on here, but good catch. Undeniably two different watches.

That was my question. All the other info is already in the title.

Good Morning RWG, with the sister fora down and out I thought I would ask for some feedback here.
I have been accumulating parts for a Franken 1675-3 build (see attached). I picked up the reworked ETA case from JohnnyDepp about a month back as I am not fixated on the case depth and want to build this beast off an ETA 2893-2 Chronometer Grade movement (I know it’s not the correct BPS or hand stack, but it’s a much better quality movement that most alternatives)
My question is, can I fit a vintage gen 1675-3 hand set to my eta 2893-2 movement? If not, is there a high quality alternative that will work?
Feedback appreciated.
Parts so far:
Gen Tropical Nipple Dial
Gen Crown
Gen Gold Bezel
Gen B/G Insert
Clark’s Plexi
Reworked ETA Case with Gen Spec Drilled Lugs
Chronometer Grade ETA 2893-2
Up for discussion:
Gen Vintage Hand Set (available if functional)
ETA Replacement Hands

164, stock Noob rep. Might be her last voyage prior to getting all Franken with my gen 86 dial.

That's my first (gen) Panerai PAM 91 with custom polishing... I DO regret selling this beautiful watch, luckily, it's still with a good friend
Here's before polishing:
It has since been restored the the original finishing...
Makes sense now, I do like the custom polish job... might have just inspired a fantasy Franken build with the pare 086 gen dial in my parts bin...

Looks like a PAM91, I have a Grimlock Franken 91 that is 100% a keeper. The real question is, was that a gen bracelet or a rep titanium/Ss interchanging bracelet?!?!

Go big, try to find a Noob ROO on sale. I personally love the silver Thames, but they have been sold out a bit. You should still be able to follow me a few 2014 editions on sale.

Check out Ale's guide. It's all there. Looks like a KW, but you will want to check it out yourself.
