  2. Hey guys,

I'm looking to buy the Breitling Chronomat Evo with the Graphite dial and the ss bracelet... I need some info ! :cheesy:

I was looking at Josh and Andrew's sites and came across two models.

Andrew has an "Ultimate" edition 1:1 with the well known Asia 7750. And Josh has a similar model with the addition of the Chronomat "V2".

    What does the V2 mean?

Anyone had some experience with the graphite dial?

What's the best in the market right now?

Some pics courtesy of Josh and Andrew:

By the way, the price is the same on the 2 models shown...

    Thanks so much:D

  3. Here's a mini review and some pics of my small collection (but getting bigger).

    1- Fiddy

    2- 111

    3- Cartier Santos 100 Chrono

    4- Chopard Grand Turismo

Collection, not including Cartier because my brother borrowed from me today (grrr)

The fiddy quality is excellent, very carefully machined and also no big mistakes on the dial :D . Sapphire crystal looks impecable and the lume on the hands is decent. The movement has some differences from the gen one (obsvioulsy), too many blue screws, and the "Officine Panerai" letters located on a side and not horizontally. I should say that the weight is 1:1 compared with the original (I've tried on the gen in one occasion). The crown has some minor machining imperfections, but nothing that a regular machine cannot fix. For now, it only deviates as little as +- 2 min per day...

This one I got some time ago being a newbie :) . Overall is a good quality watch (around $120) out of the box, no AR, Sapphire crystal, awesome luming on the hands. The "L Swiss L" logo seems to be to close to the 6, and the Panerai letters are just a little too bold (I think). The movements clicks a bit loud (reasonable sounds), but we have to remember that is an Asian Manual. I changed the original crappy strap that it came with, and bought a Toscana Vachetta from Elliot at a great price. The leather is very thick (approx. 4-5mm) and the quality is superb, very well made. Additionally, I believe the crown gap distance is off by at least (+- 1mm) and I should also mention that the strap screws were very very soft and I had to replace them.

Overall is a decent quality watch for an everyday use.

    Cartier Santos 100 Chrono

    DSC01777.jpg

This is my latest purchase thanks to Josh at PC, great person to deal with, responds very quickly to emails and delivery to USA only took 6-7 days.

It has a very reliable Asia 7750 Valjoux Working Chronograph movement at "28800 bph" (not sure about that), but ohh well lol...

Sapphire crystal and brushed steel case. The chronos work great and the hands run very smoothly, almost like a swiss eta... The dial looks great, but as always it has some very minor details, but again, nothing big at all. I must mention that it's a BIG watch  . I didnt knew that it was going to be so thick and wide (Width 41.5mm x Height 41.5mm x Thickness 16mm ) but when you see it and try it on in person feels like a panny!!

The deployment clasp is OK (could be better) but the leather on the strap is not good at all (fake leather). The engravings on the back are very accurate and the finish on the steel base are also very detailed.

I love this watch! Specially for business meetings and weddings (looks very professional). Big love of mine, but nothing compared to the LOVE I have for those Italian Subs.... Damn Pannys...;)

I will post more detailed pics of my Santos when my brother returns it to me!!!

    And.....

    Last but not least....

    Chopard Grand Turismo XL

    DSC04449.jpg

    DSC04450.jpg

The Chopards is an Asian 21J movement, but let me tell you... The rotor is way too loud !!! It has sapphire crystal with a super AR coating. It also has the correct black date wheel and the markings on the dial are very accurate. The mag for the date wheel is almost centered perfectly!:D

The quality is basically the same as Josh's Gran Turismo, but I still can't remember the name of the dealer I bought it from :p

The rotor markings are OK, with the missing CHOPARD letters on it. It keeps great time, almost +- 1 min a day. The rubber strap could be better, I mean it comes with the correct markings but the quality is not even close to the gen strap...

The crown is a one-piece screw down crown with o ring, but the "1000 Miglia" metal Insignia letters are not that accurate compared with the original.:(

Overall is a good quality watch for the price (around $100-110), but the rotor sound is the only biggie for me (any suggestions would be appreciated :cheesy: )

Thanks for taking the time to read my Mini Review and hope this helps a little.

I got my eyes on the new IWC CD 07 or a Corum Admirals Cup Titanium.... Suggestions are welcomed !! :cheesy:
