Thanks abat. I wonder why all the rep sites say 12mm. I would have thought this measurement would always include everything including the crystal and caseback.

The description on different Rep sites state 12mm thickness for this watch for example: http://www.pc-80108.com/tg10011-link-chron...aph-p-1073.html however the Gen watch sites show it as 15 to 16mm! Which is it? I want to buy the Rep, but not if it is that thick. 12mm is really the thickest I would to buy. Thx.

Pix, have you bought any of the Quartz models you referred? The first one looks pretty good, even though it's not the right size. How well would a $75 rep work?!

I'm a newbie as well, so don't just go with what I say, but if you read the specs in the description for each watch at the dealers web sites, you'd notice all sort of differences - different movements, different straps, and some have AR coating on the Sapphire crystal and some don't. Sometimes the reps are closer to the original, and sometimes they have specific flaws. You'd see references to 4th and 5th generation on the POs since the newer ones have corrected some older flaws. Also, reading all the posts you notice some dealers provide much better support in case you have any issues with the watch you receive - the good support alone may be worth the additional cost. Looking at the pictures, doesn't seem anyone likes the brown leather strap on the PO? Does anyone have one? Do you like it? I'm considering getting one, but I wonder if the brown wouldn't look right with the black PO and I would need to switch to black leather (pam111 sells this model). Any opinions? Thanks.
