  1. perhaps a mute point but.. my noob LV stopped once (asian) and i shaked and tapped and freaked out. nothing. completely dead. i opened the crown and whatnot and it started ticking then stopped again once i had screwed the crown in. i realized that if i twisted the crown in too tight, it would jam up the movement. solved my problem. guess its the risk you take buying an asian. if i know its a watch im going to cherish, i spring for the eta. its just worth it imo
  2. hi! forgive me but could anyone tell me how to safely take off the bracelet of my sub? i do not have any watch tools and i dont want to damage anything. would love some advice. thank you
  3. trying to understand this wokky rehaut thing... is the rehaut the part of the watch that goes from the bezel down to the dial? like on the new gmt II's where rolexrolexrolexrolex is etched in?
  4. Z, i want trying to be offensive. ive never shipped anything to canada. id love to have you service the watch if you are interested. what do you charge and what would your timeframe be. i will be buying this watch aprox the 11th of oct. thank you
  5. isnt that kind of risky running it thru customs so much? from china to america, then from america to canada and back to america again?
  6. OK! so is the best way to find a smith is to just call in the phonebook and just openly admit i have a replica and ask if they will clean/service it for me?
  7. well it doesnt sound like there is a resounding "yes! this is a good movement!" so i think i may stay away. nothing would bum me more than purchasing this watch and have it not keep good time or god forbid, just stop
  8. You must have to use a lot of force to do it that way. i tried on my ss sub bracelet after it getting all scuffed from my desk and it didnt make much of a difference. granted i didnt scrub to hard. you do it under water? or dry? and did you use a lot of pressure?
  9. With my sub i try to set the date at 12. then i turn to correct time. isnt that the best way to do it w/ all watches?
  10. so once this watch is purchased, i should make a stop soon after at a watchsmith to have the unit cleaned and serviced? also, can you link me to an appropriate post regarding instruction on setting/using a chrono correctly? thank you kindly
  11. so i am growing fond of the PO chrono. really debating it over the standard ultimate PO ( both sold by josh) my question is that ive done some research on the asia 7750 28800bph and i cant seem to find up to date info is this movement unreliable? id love to get some info from you guys if possible. i love the look of the chrono but i will take reliabitlity any day over looks. thanks everyone
