Is the Submariner Bezel meant to be polished?

You can see from the outside photos it looks gun metal not black, but i think thats because its a polished finish?

I just had a new BKLM black sub through and it looks brilliant, however having never seen a gen, I don't know whether my bezel is meant to be polished or not? I only ask as when it's under artificial light or it's cloudy outside, the bezel looks a different colour (often gunmetal) and far from black, infact its so polished i can see my face in it. Is this a gen thing too?

Hi, I’ve ordered a BKLM watch and I note he is based in the US. Has anyone in the UK had to pay import charges? Or do they say the watch is just worth next to nothing to avoid it.
