Biggest would be the Yachtmaster. They look sooo good in pictures - crisp, bright, with the splash of red breaking the silver. I had one of the early ones, but seldom wore it. Silver hands on silver dial doesn't make for the easiest read...for some reason didn't fit quite right on my wrist...sold it. After a couple more generations came out I decided I hadn't given it a fair chance - they really looked great in the pics. Had this one The Zigmeisterfied, w/super lume and lacquer, and a serviced movement to last forever. Hard to read, didn't feel right on the wrist...sold it.

I was going to suggest Mikimoto pearls - they have a good rep. But then I checked out their online offerings - way up there in price, and the settings aren't as creative as the ones you've found. Seems like you've found a good source.

Hold it parallel to the ground, with the top pusher facing the direction of the sun. The edge of the shadow that falls on the watch will be the correct time, within about 12 hours either way.

Interesting. Maybe he's rushing too much - these seem like careless mistakes.

#4 . . .but not very well. I've done enough to appreciate how good Zig, Palp, Finepics, Enzo, etc., are. After trying some more advanced things myself, I'm happier about paying someone else -

Well, this is a situation of a watch that has gone from person to person. I'm 3rd or 4th in line. From the thorough reviews by UBI and others of DWs, I'm pretty sure the case and movement are actually DW, and the bracelet seems good quality (despite the odd end link numbers.) I'll probably get another dial and hands, and join the modded DW club.

Recently got this used - my first experience with these. Is this what the dial typically looks like on these (apart from the grossly scratched up hands)? Splotchy paint, etc. And are the lume blobs usually so irregular? Finally, the bracelet and clasp are 78350, while the end links are 93150 - a number I've not heard before for end links. Could this really be what DW originally had on the watch? Comments appreciated.

Like gattenda, I also stopped by there a couple of years ago. Every bit as funky as g. describes. I needed a repair for the famous defective clasp on the good SMP that was circulating at the time. He didn't have the right Omega parts; instead he screwed a small nut and bolt into the mushroom hole Felt great against the wrist...

Bony Crocs are great looking. There's a lot of variation on them - will you get the one in the pic if you order?

This one started with a Swiss CdG/regulator sword movement from eBay, continued with case and hands from Enzo, Davidsen dial (I think, since it had to be reduced a bit to fit the case), crown from Palpatine, pin/hour wheel fix, service, regulation and superlume by The Zigmeister, and was completed with an OEM strap and rep deployant. I think it came out pretty well: The crown and pin fix make a big difference in appearance: The crown guard also fits well - sometimes a problem with Pams: The back - "Officine Panerai" engraving is good, not too fat, and the finish is clean. The OEM strap is thinner than I'm used to, but it is comfortable and dressy (and smells good): And it glows . . . Thanks to all involved Tom
