  1. >>>>>>I drive fast. Really fast. I never push the limits or put others in danger<<<<<<

Sorry, IMO what I quoted from your thread make no sense. If you speed you are putting others at risk, no matter how good you are.

Just a couple of days ago a cop kill himself following a speedy driver in my town, does the dare devil ever thought this would happen? NO.

  2. I swapped a gen smooth rubber strap onto my black magic full ceramic. It looks and feels great. It's much thicker and stiffer than the rep, giving it a much more expensive feel. I'll snap some pics soon. The only problem is, I scratched the pvd coating off of a clasp screw before I realized that they don't come out and that it's just a spring bar holing it on. My crude homemade "H" screw driver was a little rough. Does anyone have a PVD clasp they want to get rid of or know where I can get one without paying through the nose? I would also like to get another silver "H" screw that I put a tiny scratch on as well.

Where did you get the gen strap from?

  3. Rep. Hublot logo text is supposed to be Sans Serif. Chronograph seconds needle is bleeding red paint on the "H" area.

100% agreed on the hand bleeding, also the subdial hands at 9 is too close to the dial, like if the dial was not properly in place.

Hublot would not allow this on any of its watches.

  4. My polished ceramic bezel looks like glass, has no scratches and I wear it all the time.

I have version 1 (push down crown)maybe 2nd factory version does notuse the real deal bezels.

A member here(sorry, can't remember who) attempted toscratch thebacksideof his ceramic bezel with ascrewdriver blade and determined it was impossible to scratch, that was also a version 1.

If nothing else Angus will sellseperately the brushed ceramic bezelon its own if you want to upgrade.

    Cheers,

    M

I do have the version 1 polished bezel, this thing is perfect, its like a mirror and very nice looking.

  5. Hey all!

Thought I'd ask if anyone of you know if the HBB dial is (re)movable? On one of my HBB's, the whole dial seems a tiiiiiny bit off-centered compared to the bezel screws (I'm extremely picky :)). Is this possible to fix in some way?

    Cheers!

    Pedro

this may be solved by loosing the two screws that hold the movement in place an slightly move the movement until it get centered.

  6. This year so far (yes, I know, its pointless to mention) I have made $82,000 in the first 6 months, and am on pace to make around 180-200K for the 2008 year. That is factual and evident of skill, although I understand there are certainly people with a higher income level than mine, I am in the top 2-3% and there is no disputing that.

    .

LOL... with those figures you should only own gens.

  7. I'm not sure I understand the point of pointing the fact that his watch was a fake out to him. Did you actually approach him and ask to see his watch, or did he apprach you and try to pass it off as real? I personally would never even ask anyone if his/her watch was real or point out the fact that it wasn't, even if it was obvious. *shrug*

Agreed, is kind of rude calling somebody out.

  8. Yes, I live in Miami. I love going downtown

    to the Seybold Building Strip.

Although I do not think I have ever seen

a selection like the one at the Torneau

store in the Aventura Mall. Literally

    thousands of watches, no exageration,

    thousands, IWC, Rolex, Omega, Sinn,

Uboat, Panerai, BR, Pateks, BM, Lange Sohn,

    Glashutte, etc........

    Thank god for RWG!!!!

The Tourneau at Bal Harbours is awsome, many other hi-end stores also, AP, Chopard, Cartier, etc.

    Hi-end mall....

  9. ...when the guy sitting next to you on first/coach class makes a compliment on your watch as he is wearing the exact same timepiece as you. After a few more words you find out he is wearing a $400 rep so well built that only a well trained eye can tell the difference between his and your $8K gen.

As some of the members in this forum my collection includes both low end gens and reps. However, owners of solely hi-end gen collections may not be aware of such good reps on the market. With this said...

Isn't this one of the reasons why some hi-end gen owners get so irritated when some idiot starts commenting and loading pics on gen forums about how perfectly replicated his $400 rep is?

Would it feel disappointing seeing many people wearing such an exclusive watch, eventhough is a rep and can't tell the difference?

    Again, How would you feel?

  10. Wanna see something else weird you get for $455?

Take a close look at the rotor.

Could it be engraved like the gen?

Not only the engraving on the rotor, the font on the caseback is different also. It looks to me as a gen caseback.

I own 3 HBB - RG creamic, SS-gold bezel and a Platinum Mat is on the way. Now, all of this watches I purchased from

different dealers and is a fact that the font on the case back is the same in all 3 and different from the one in the Gens.

Rep caseback font is not as deeply engraved as in the gen.

  11. paid 1280 for my RG Tuiga..

I dont buy watches, gens or reps, depending on the price. I buy what I think is beautiful, that is for everything. I have a hard time to forgive my self for spending $150 on a watch that is OK looking but with a good pricetag.

I rather spend $400 or $1280 on something that makes me go "aaah" everytime I see it..and "my god!" evertime i use it..

but thats me, and I dont say I am normal :)

    edit:

just got laughed at by a friend a couple of minutes ago when telling I ordered BOB- and Europelli-straps for > $600 yesterday =)

Amen to those words. If im buying a replica it better be the closest posible to the GEN.

  12. That depends on which version of the A7750 you have:

Low-beat versions hand sizes are the same as the Swiss 7750.

High-beat versions have different size posts than the Swiss 7750.

The minutes transfer from 12 to 3 are just the addition of three gears that transfer the function from position A to B. You can use those parts and bring them over to the Swiss 7750.

Its a high beat version, I assume the hands will be the "stop" to the upgrade. Correct?

  13. Have a watch with a swiss 7750 and another with an asian 7750. I would like to swap them. My problem is that the swiss movement have chrono minutes at 12 and the asian has chrono minutes at 3. I think the date wheel is not going to be a problem but Im not sure about the hands.

Can this be done? Can the minutes gear be swaped from 12 to 3 within the movement itself ? Can the hands be swapped between movements?

    Thanks
