  1. Only wear gen outside the house. I have 2 reps, they look brand new and the gens looks all banged up.
  2. I think it's more how accurate the rep with AR rather than anything else.. no one worries about the AR if the gen article doesn't come with it.. IE: Rlx
  3. Hmm, I wonder how much my local sidestreet watchsmith would charge me for this service.
  4. It has happened again today. Also this time the 12' subdial stops moving after 25 marker. Maybe I should stick to the ETAs this time. No more Asian 7750 for me. Such a shame I wanted the Aquaracer after this. Any fix? What do you guys think?
  5. IMHO TTK: I do not understand why are you still quoting me, and blabbering about this. "They should be priced accordingly" You have made it clear that you are not in the position to price these items, but rather your 'suppliers' so I kind of confused why are you so hyped about this. It's not like you can do anything about it right? Whatever makes you sleep at night though. PS: I apologize for my little knowledge too, and being dangerous as a result. [/iMHO]
  6. Let me retract my statement then IMHO TTK: IMHO, no one is complaining about reliability and longetivity but rather the cost of the 'Asian' ETA being sold as 'Swiss' ETA. =) IMHO, they should be priced accordingly. I hope I have relieved some of you distress. My apologies.
  7. I do not know why you are firing up and judging me by my post count. You must have missed the "In My Humble Opinion Part"
  8. TTK: IMHO, no one is complaining about reliability and longetivity but rather the cost of the 'Asian' ETA being sold as 'Swiss' ETA. =) They should be priced accordingly.
  9. I know what I'd be doing though if I get an Asian ETA and the watch is advertised as Swiss ETA
  10. To conclude all this, I think it comes down to the price of the watch. Asian ETA is fine. But for dealers to mark a price for a Asian ETA same as Swiss ETA will just be plain cheating. I'm glad this came out before I order a rep. Thanks Zig. PS: Dealers should read this post. =)
  11. Damn, didn't know strategies and tactics exists on watches.
  12. cool, cheers for the inputs.. no i have not ordered yet.. thanks for the save though.. hehe
  13. hi guys, just wanted to know if www.replicamania.net is legit... i wanted this model but cannot find the dealers here that have it.. http://replicamania.net/bvlgari-p-698.html cheers
  14. I have my Old man's Gen (white hands) and let me you that the rep is nothing like the gen. the gen is too 'fine'
  15. I have a DJ with similar style to your DD. My answer is Gold = Gen and Plat = Rep. But nice timepieces regardless. I don't like PAMs
  16. Tested the Chrono and sync it up with another Tag Chrono (Gen).. started the same time and went to bed.. Woke up, checked the Tag which is still going, 8:34AM, and the BCE Chrono and Time stopped at 7:20AM.. No it didn't ran out of power as I was wearing it. Reset the Chrono and time started again.. What should I do? Just got the watch 2 weeks ago. Maybe I should just avoid using the function.
  17. US$200 for an ETA movement and US$300 for an extremely good chrono.
  18. Get an unrepable watch. IE: Rolex They've been repping this for years and they still cannot get it right.
  19. Im burning about the shipping. It's just basically the mandatory extra $30 on top. I bought a massive item from the US, shipped to New Zealand for US$35 I dont think it cost the dealers US$30 to ship such a tiny item.
  20. Thats a nice Seiko Pug, which is it? Funny thing is, out of all the watches, the Seiko seemed to standout among the rest.
  21. What about the smaller version ?
  22. Thanks for the input guys, I asked Joshua, though he really didnt give me a definite answer he has offered to install the Asian Dial with the Swiss Mov't. For me, this only says that yes, they are different. Hence, I ordered a different watch instead. Thanks again!
  23. Hi fellows just a quick question, I was looking at Jos' Explorer I line and noticed that the Swiss version has a thicker numeral compared to the Asian version. What do you guys think? http://www.pc-80108.com/rlex10002-explorer...8242-p-405.html http://www.pc-80108.com/rlex10001-explorer...ing-p-2518.html Does anyone have a pic of Joshua's Explorer I ? Thanks
